D-II has fewer full schollys, but they are the only NCAA level, where sholarships can be divided among players, so a lot of players, who can get academic mony, grants, aid, etc...cn get a full rie by have to use ony 20%, etc of on of the athletic schollys.

Incorrect. See D-1 baseball.

D-III cannot offer athletic scholarship money.

Correct.

NAIA does offer athletic scholarship money, which can include a full ride or something less...they have a lot of latitude.

Correct. Trey Anatasio was incorrect in his post saying they can't.

Even as an LSU fan, I'd have to go with Clarrett. He was a stud in the MNC game against Miami. But definitely debatable.

dude, you are amusing me. I am just talking about football...this is a football thread. D-I football canot split schollys, but, to your point, D-I baseball programs are able to divide schollys the same way D-II is able to in all sports, incluing football.
You are definitely keeping me on my toes!

Phillips never got kicked out of Nebraska, though he should have been.

Someone else ended up finding who I meant, which was QB Charles Thompson of the late 80s Oklahoma teams.

Masoli has to be up there on the list...never really found out how Ole MS got him without a year sitting out.

Simple: He enrolled in a graduate program at Ole Miss that Oregon didn't offer. Completely within the rules.

Masoli had graduated from his Bachelor program at Oregon, so he was eligible to transfer without penalty to another school so he could enroll in a graduate program.

He had either graduated, finished over the summer then. or something. Wonder if he would have been drafted had he finished out at Oregon? Now an Edmomton Eskimo.

RP11 hurt LSU more than this probably will. But we will see. I'd say if we don't win the SEC this year TM7 may have been bigger.

Easy yes. The Honey Badger had become a household name....a sophomore defensive back. There is no question in my mind.

While true, he wasn't even the most popular runningback, while at LSU.
