More than Lebron or Kobe? Absolutely. Because "some soccer guy" to you is the icon of their favorite sport. They are going to know who he is more than an American basketball player.

the question is if, lebron/kobe walked into nicaragua, and saw these kids that you're talking about. Ronaldo might be their favorite player.

But would they recognize kobe?
I bet yes.

Not 20. Never been to Europe. Africa, yes. I already said that.

Oh look, another soccertard. Don't you guys have your own board to spew this nonsense on?

You got fools on here believing that WNBA games average 7-8 thousand fans. That's ignorance in it's purest form.

i'm going with kobe. not lebron.
kobe has been at the level lebron has been for a decade longer.
longevity breeds familiarity.

But more of the little Nicaraguans would recognize Messi or Ronaldo...especially because they're in a Spanish speaking country.

Just because Lebron is a big black dude doesn't mean everyone knows who he is.

How many people go to WNBA games, then? I want a number directly from the world traveler.

I have 0 doubt in my mind that more people in the world know who Cristiano Ronaldo is than Kobe Bryant. All those Chinese kids you say don't care about soccer still know who he is. He plays for the biggest team in the world, he's their best player, he's handsome, and he's the second best player in the world's most popular sport.

Chinese people stil go apeshit over soccer. Big clubs take preseason tours over there all the time.

I think they would recognize he's an athlete, but I doubt they will know exactly who he is. When the dream team went to the Olympics in 92, every tall black guy that was with them was mobbed by fans/photographers. Even the guys that weren't players. They didn't know who most of the people were, but they thought they were famous because they were tall and black.

You're sports-knowledge is wayyyyyyy too soccer-centric kid.

And just because Messy or Ronald McDonald are the best soccer player doesn't mean everyone knows who they are. Like I said, the most watched sports game of all time was US basketball vs. China. That's a fact.

How is that a fact? I've already dug up research to prove you wrong.

But then again, I used that danged Google...lies about everything from WNBA attendances to TV numbers. My bad.

Did you even read the shite you posted?

And anyone who believes that WNBA games average over 7,000 in attendance is a goddamn fool and that's a damn FACT.

your sports knowledge is evidently non-existent and based upon your personal opinion.

What is your point?

RE Chinese basketball example.

Which is worse, gang, Cock's...

A. Grammar?
B. Lame attempts at humor?
C. Xenophobia?
D. Constant disagreements of reputable facts?
E. Well, they all are pretty pathetic for a grown man. I can't choose just one.
