And anyone who believes that WNBA games average over 7,000 in attendance is a goddamn fool and that's a damn FACT.

Again, give me a better number. How many WNBA games have you seen?

Everything I find give that number. I'll even challenge you to go team by team and average them out yourself, but math probably isn't your strong suit.

try again.

messi isn't even in this conversation.
he isn't used as a spokesmodel.

did michael jordan become famous because of basketball in chicago, or because of nike and gatorade pushing the shite out of him?

come on you guys. quit just using the sports parts of your brains.

the answer probably is tiger woods.

he's the sole recognizable person in a popular sport (aside from lefty). (recognizability)
he was a child prodigy (hype and longevity)
he's bi-racial (appeals to different demogs)
he won (everyone loves winners)
he's sponsored out the yin yang and has been for some time (nike, buick)
and he had a much publicized tabloid disaster (calling him into the attention of the non-sports media)

i'm going with Tiger.

How many have you seen? Do you need to google that first?

You're right. I was thinking about FCB being a Nike team and thought that Messi still had his old Nike contract going.

Cock, is 600M > 37M or not?

Only slightly more than 6% have to recognize their idol in order to equal those who have viewed the most watched basketball game in the history of the world (be they interested or not, we're giving you a 100% recognition rate of your superstar athlete).

I like these odds.

Personally? One or two. Granted, it was back when the league first began. Attendance was higher then.

Your picture of one section at one game doesn't change anything. (And did you get that image from Google, hypocrite?)

You have sucked some major cock in this thread.

In response to your little Nike point:

Nike CR7 line

Also, Kobe spent much of basketball career promoting Adidas.

Also, just because you speak English doesn't mean Beckham's popularity as a celebrity outweighs that of Ronaldo's in the Latin world.

But is Tiger publicized that much in South America, Africa, Asia?

Too many of your facts are based in America.

If these soccer players are so well-known then why aren't they getting 10 year $500 million endorsement deals from mid-level automakers?

These guys really think some 5 foot soccer player is more recognizable that a 6'6 basketball player who plays in the entertainment capital of the world. They really think that they are more popular than a 6'9 260 freak athlete who was getting put on magazine covers when he was 15 years old. LeBron is in ad campaign and has endorsements across the grid. Nike, McDonald's, State Farm, and dozens of other big brands.

We get it, you guys love your little crap sport and think it's the greatest thing ever and that everyone cares about your little stars. We know that's the reality you live in and think that's the way of the world, but it's just not. You can enjoy your own little bubble if you want and live in delusion, but don't try to come out of it and tell smart folks who know more than you what's what, because this colossal display of failure is what you'll get.

The fact that you have to ask that tells me you don't know shite about sports outside of soccer.

You've looked like the biggest idiot in this thread. You vehemently deny facts, won't answer our questions, and show off your hick view of the world.

I guess everyone outside of America is an idiot for having soccer as the number one sport. So, so narrow-minded.
