Lamar Jackson makes case for MVP as Baltimore pulls off victoryJackson's running and passing helped Baltimore become the only AFC North team to defeat Seattle this season

Step aside, Russell Wilson, there's a new NFL MVP front-runner.

While Wilson struggled on Sunday, his counterpart, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, put together another superb performance while leading his team to a 30-16 win over the homesteading Seattle Seahawks. The Ravens' defense complemented Jackson's efforts by scoring two touchdowns and handing Wilson his worst game of the season to date.

I don't know how long he'll last, but he's freaking fun to watch.

Minshew has a higher passer rating.

It’s weird that this conversation is coming now. He’s been fairly bad the past 3 weeks. People want him to be good so bad

Can you really say Brees is MVP though if he's out for 6 weeks and we go undefeated?

I think it's people are always more interested in big plays rather than just down to down excellence.

Lamar’s passing is not the reason he would be MVP.

I'm sure Pride will be here to say this is just another reason why Brees is better than Brady.

He isn’t even the MVP of his own team. He is not a QB. I wish people would quit comparing him to Vick. That’s an insult to Vick honestly.

It's not, but there are objective individual QB measurements to say Brees is every bit as good, if not better than Brady.

Wait, you're saying Vick was so much better as a throwing QB, that it's insulting to compare Jackson to him? Uhh what?

I guess you're forgetting how shitty of a passing QB Vick was, he was not very good at it.

Lamar's QB rating this season is 94.1. Vick's career avg is 80, and he only eclipsed 94.1 once in 13 seasons, when he was 30 years old.

Pretty sure he's the Baltimore Ravens' QB.

A lot of people who thought he was going to destroy the league from day 1 want to be proven right.

There’s a lot of the flip side of that coin as well and both want to claim victory after one game but when the other way happens they want to say that it’s a small sample size and we need to see more

Vick's career game averages: 56% completion percentage, 7.0 yards per attempt, 80.4 QB rating, 157 yards per game, 1.5:1 TD:INT ratio, 43 yards rushing per game

Lamar's career game averages: 61% completion percentage, 7.4 yards per attempt, 89.9 QB rating, 197 yards per game, 2.1:1 TD:INT ratio, 81 yards rushing per game

No lol

He lit up 2 terrible teams to start and since then his passing stats have been below average. He’s running effectively but there’s more to the game then that. Prisoner of the moment because of yesterday.

Vick was inaccurate as shite. He was electric as a runner but not that great as a passer even with a rocket for a an arm

The past 2 bold takes of Mike Vick being soooo much better than Lamar and Lamar being so much better than Russell Wilson are peak MSB.
