I lean towards yes.
If you disagree, what more does he need to get in?
11 years in the league, a career passer rating of around 94.5, creeping up on 30,000 yards and 200 TD's, MVP and Superbowl under his belt.....

You know who's really a first ballot Hall of Famer?

Kurt Warner's Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Kurt was the Rams savior for sure. He filled in and brought my Rams their one and only Super Bowl victory. It only took me 30 yrs or more of Ram fandom to get that too.
I think if he continues to do well this season and leads them to a championship, at least conference, he might have a shot at the Hall.

yes, first ballot.

If he were in the NFL all along his numbers would be staggering.

they showed a stat the other day that he has passed for over 300 yards in 45-48% of his career starts. Next is Dan Fouts at about 25%. That is just ridiculous, plus he wins.

Yeah, i saw that and was amazed...that is an impressive stat.
I had this discussion with some friends, and its about 50/50 on if he gets in with his present numbers. I would think if he surpasses 30,000 yards and 200 TD's that should put him over the top. His current career passer rating is better than some great QB's.

i think that makes him a first ballot guy. Right now he is the 3rd highest rated passer in NFL history, and first in history in passing yards per game. He won't be penalized too much at all for his late entry into the NFL when it comes to Canton. They are smart enough to realize it wasn't his choice, the NFL clearly missed, and that his longevity stats would be much higher if he had a conventional path to the league.

Yeah, i agree, we tend to get caught up in that longevity qualification, but i'm not sure how that matters if the time you put in was Hall of Fame quality.

So is Terrell Davis a HOF too?

Warner has 4 good seasons in the NFL. Sorry, but that isnt enough for me.

He totally disappeared for 6 years. Telling that he is a system QB.

You know, we always talk about "system quarterbacks" (i.e. Texas Tech, Houston back in the Run n Shoot days, Spurrier's Fun n Gun, etc...) but my question has always been, if the "system" gets you a pile of points and yards and you have a trigger man to run this "system" then why the derogatory connotation when it comes to "system" QB?

Who is Kurt playing for now. The Cards? They are well known for a winning system I am sure.
The Rams let Warner go and I could have kicked them for that.
The Rams front office has been killing them for awhile now. Starting with the defense and London Fletcher and then on and on.
Kurt went to the Giants for one purpose on their side and that was to back up Eli. He wanted to stay in the league and play so he signed with a team.
You want to put him down for that go for it.
I think he is one hell of a quarterback. IMO.

BECAUSE HE SUCKED FOR 5 YEARS WHEN HE WASNT IN THE RIGHT SYSTEM

He basically disappeared from the NFL. He couldnt win a starting job with NYG or ARI against some shitty QB's.

He barely played, which is the only reason his QB rating has remained so high. He wasnt good enough to get on the field. And when he did, he was underwhelming
