I know he’s a WS champion and the Angels have had injuries but they continue to fail. Kind of a weird situation.

The Angels have sucked no matter who the manager is.

Big Money Trout and Rendon out all year. Depending on the locker room they should give him at least one more year.

I think that’s fair.

Scioscia had an 8 year stretch when he won 5 division titles in 6 years and a WS when finishing second. People can win there.

4 of the last 6 managers they have hired are going to be in the HOF.

You don't need sonic sunglasses to see the Angels haven't gotten their pitching right in quite a few years.

This and some really bad free agent misses explain just about everything that has gone wrong there.

The Angels’ current record is five games better than their Pythagorean record. Joe has actually done a good job this year considering the fact that they have no pitching and Trout and Rendon have missed over 100 games.

If only he had the “most valuable” stat nerd superhero who somehow can’t even carry his team to the playoffs. Ever.

100% safe. Total hall pass for this year. There will be expectations next year with a healthy roster and hopefully an improved staff. IMO the Angels are a probably a pretty easy organization to work for as far as pressure

Eta I watch his press conferences sometimes. He's still sharp and into it.

People can win at any job in MLB. The manager has very little impact on whether they do or don’t. Baseball managers have never had much impact on games and today they have less than ever
