JD has a better HC and offensive coordinator for his first NFL season (and compared to JB’s current season). Physically he is a better runner to overcome issues with OL, but I can’t imagine Washington having a worse OL than the Bengals. Also seems to have a better RB. Might have a better defense in first season. I am not sure about WRs and TEs.

Regardless of all that making it to the playoffs automatically puts JD’s first season above Joe’s especially with some of the late game wins JD manufactured. Bengals seem to get hot late, but even if Joe was not injured in 2020 they would still not have made the playoffs that season.

Before becoming zoolander JB at LSU was part of a perfect season and national championship team at a school still feeling some embarrassment over Jan 2012 and the losing streak against Bama & Saban that game started which didn’t end until 2019. He also became the first heisman winner from LSU since 1959, and it was accomplished at a position Les had killed off having any expectations of greatness.

I don’t know what will end up happening over the rest of their NFL careers with team and individual successes, but JB’s career at LSU will and should be looked at as being more impressive based on 2019.

Yeah I meant in terms of championships...I feel he was robbed of a chance for a championship with the poor defense

Also his defense being horrible actually benefitted Jayden Daniels. He was forced to play the entire game and get into shootouts whereas Joe Burrow destroyed teams and would sit out a good portion of a few games.

JD also played into the 4th quarter during the blow out against Georgia State for his numbers and to get more press attention for the heisman.

Huh that’s funny

2019 backup Mile Brennen was
24-40 for 353 yards and 1 TD

2023 backup(s) Nussmeyer & Collins
50-80 for 594 yards and 4 TDs

So what you posted and believe would be fake news- JD5 backups played more snaps than Burrows backups.

Huh Thats funny - you are responding to a quote I included not what I actually wrote…

This was my comment:

So is that fake news as well???

Regardless attempted passes doesn’t equal snaps.

For example in 2019 Brennan came into the Arkansas game in the 3rd quarter, but only attempted 4 passes because LSU was winning by a ton. Pretty close to same happened against A&M accept he just came in for nearly the entire 4th quarter with only 4 attempted passes. Against Utah State he played almost the entire 4th quarter with only 1 passing attempt. He was involved in more snaps than that, and I am sure that Nuss also had more snaps than his listed pass attempts in 2023, which had the majority take place in the bowl game he started when JD sat out to avoid injury.

You are an LSU fan and seem to have a dislike for Burrow. At minimum, you minimize his accomplishments. Why? We know you like Josh and so do I, you seem hellbent on making sure to shite on Burrow in thread after thread.

Stats didn’t include bowl games, but for you to take offense to me posting to just your “quote” you sure go to great lengths to act like Burrow sit around the 4 th quarter and Daniels played the entire game when the stats show differently- that’s all I’m saying.

Take offense??? I used the same phrase you said to me and then later even used your fake news comment to me after I included and asked about my actual quote. Was I supposed to get offended by your comment? I would prefer just sticking to sarcasm and enlightenment.

Stats do include bowl games. More specifically the 591 yards listed for Nuss as having in 2023 include the 395 yards in bowl game, 53 against Bama, 89 against Army, 6 against State, and 48 against Grambling.

I also didn’t go to great lengths to act like anything. I gave you several examples on the fallacy of using passing attempts to argue the amount of snaps. I even included that Nuss would have more snaps than the number of passing attempts that you listed.

More importantly the particular comment you were attempting to argue in your reply to me wasn’t mine but a quote from someone I replied to with my actual comment about JD being left in the Georgia State slaughter just to pad his stats/numbers which was certainly not fake news.

Regardless and to now comment on your point it actually does feel like JD had to stay later in more games that also required the regular offense to keep trying to score due to the defense breaking down rather than reverting to running the clock with the starter or the backup QB mostly handing off to a RB. I don’t know for sure if that’s accurate, or if it’s just focusing on how poorly our defense was and how tired they played late in games.

He’s been great causing 4 turnovers, including a pick six and taking a screen for a 65 yard TD

In the NFL yes. Burrow had more innovative coaching in college but I think Jayden is more talented.

Are you anti JD5 or something? Ive seen several mature plays from the kid that make me think he's been playing 5 seasons.

He’s doing his usual shtick of being wrong then doubling down repeatedly by moving the goalposts

Burrow was just another cog in the Ohio State machine, Daniels is more impressive because he was developed by Herm Edwards
