It’s been clear to saints fans way before Sunday

He’s like a mix of Vince Young and Drew. Maybe better at reading defenses

Are we sure that it isn’t obvious that Wilson is on the backside of his career in terms of performance?

Wilson isn't responsible for the Dolphins scoring 70. He's 6th in QBR and 7th in passing yards and has 6 TDs to 2 Ints. Only three games in and all but with all the struggles, he's not playing poorly and not why the Broncos are losing.

Drew is top 5. Also the most accurate QB. One of the few guys that understood the game inside and out. Payton really screwed him out of 3 Super Bowls. Idiot never fielded a competent defense until Brees got old and then when he got old the idiot didn't get him the WRs.

The year Payton was suspended and Brees threw around 45 TDS without him should have been a hint.

And the year Brees got hurt, Payton went 5-0 with Teddy Bridgewater

Maybe its just that Payton had a much better roster in NOLA

Sean was never the same after bounty gate…… it just seemed like the game passed him by after that and he was a step behind…..

He would've taken the Saints to another Super Bowl in 2018 if not for a blatant missed PI call. Then followed it up by going 13-3 and losing in the playoffs on one of the worst missed tackles in history. Don't think the game had passed him by after 1 year of being suspended.

Taysom Hill is the closest thing we have had compared to Drew.

I don't feel like this is worth starting a new thread and this is the closest relatable thread I can fine but this maybe the weirdest stat I have ever uncovered.

Chase Daniels spent five years with the Saints. He has less career passing yards with the Saints than either Russel Erxeleben or Tony Galbreth. Erxeleben was a punter and Galbreth was a fullback.

Drew Brees is one of the 5 best quarterbacks to ever live. He would have had more super bowls if Sean could have supplied him with even a semi-competent defense

To wit: Tom Brady's last year as a QB with Tampa was the only time he didnt play with a top 10 scoring defense. Had Drew had that kind of luck he might have 4 or 5 himself.

Winning games 10-6 with Teddy and an elite defense doesn't mean what you think it does
