A lot of people on here always trash on him but I think he’s great in the booth.

College he's one of the best. He's a little in over his head working alongside Al Michaels.

He is fantastic at his job. I think Collinsworth is top of food chain for the way he breaks down plays in real time.

Herbstreit is not Beth Mowins or Joe Buck because his job is different than those two announcers.
Herbstreit is OK, but I like Todd Blackledge way more. Blackledge is the best game analyst in college football.

Fowler and Herbie is my favorite duo on the call in CFB. Herbie may be a bitch for the whole crying thing but I far prefer his color commentary than someone like Danielson.

He is a lot better in the booth with Fowler for college than with Michaels for NFL. I think he is a good analyst. I just hold his GameDay thoughts against him when watching him as an analyst for the actual games.
