He has played well lately and looked solid last night.

Wonder if some time with Brady has helped him

Meh. Still the second best back on that team

Solid starter. But his potential was HOF. So no. You don’t waste a high first round draft pick on someone that only has the potential to be a solid starter. Especially for a position like running back where it’s often hard to meaningfully prove benefit over who is on the bench. As the other poster stated, fournette is arguably less effective than the other TB on the team.

Trent Richardson had 2000 career rushing yards and 900 receiving yards.

LF7 has 2900 rushing and 1200 receiving and still going. He hasn’t lived up but he’s surpassed him for sure

That’s great

We thought he was AP 2.0
He’s definitely closer to TR 2.0

He’s fine. He’s got average vision but he’s still faster than most RBs his size. You can tell he’s flashing when defensive players are talking bad angles bc they underestimate his speed.

He’s finally playing with people on offense that have brains - that helps a lot.

Didn’t live up to expectations, but not a disappointment. And he’s a good dude, so I’m happy to see him perform well.

From all accounts he seems like a shithead

The jags did everything they could to keep him and he was unprofessional as hell and wouldn’t show up for meetings and such so they let him go

Well I guess that’ something he has in common with 2 of the 3 players that were drafted ahead of him.

Everyone likes to pretend that Derek Henry didn’t suck and was stuck as a backup for his first 2.5 years.

Leonard still has time to turn it around on a good team, the problem is he can’t stay healthy which is the death of any running back. Derek Henry is a beast that can stay healthy and take hits

But honestly, if we’ve learned anything it’s that running backs really aren’t all that valuable in the NFL anymore. Backups can be signed of the street and get 100 yards a few weeks later (remember when Gurley went down for the Rams signed fat arse CJ Anderson off the street and didn’t miss a beat. Saints plugged in Ty Montgomery last week and did fine)

The good teams with good schemes can plug and play RBs, the bad teams struggle even with “elite” guys. They just aren’t truly difference makers anymore

4.9 yards per carry against a good defense is a hell of an improvement from what he’s done most of the season.

Did you see that dance he did last night after scoring the TD? Looks like a player who hasn’t scored in a while.

It helps for him to actually play for a team with a real QB. In Jacksonville he had to deal with guys like Blake Bortles and an offensive scheme with no imagination whatsoever. They were running him into 8 man fronts like Les had him doing at LSU, except against NFL players that are just as athletically gifted as he is.

Leonard can be as good as he wants to be
Just needs to get his head screwed on right!
And Brady definitely fas helped!
