No.

There is nothing agreeable, amusing, or pleasant about football if you are an LSU or Dallas Cowboys fan.

Who was going to break the home run record that year?

Whichever America's past time is now, lacrosse is the original American past time.

It was Matt Williams, current manager of the Nationals. He had 43 hrs and Griffey had 40. Both were probably on pace. On top of that Gwynn had a 394 average, so he could have hit 400.

ETA. It's crazy looking at how the stats differ from today and then. They had more guys hitting over 330 in that season than they had the past 5 seasons, not to mention the amount of 40 and 50 hr type guys they had then as well.

Lulz, people think this is a discussion?

ESPN.com's homepage was the fvcking NFL SCHEDULE RELEASE for hours today during the middle of the NBA playoffs.

People don't even remember baseball is on anymore once football starts.

Football is the indisputed king. Nothing else comes close.

Baseball is American's pastime. Football is America's passion.

I mean sure if you want to make up some nebulous concept of "pastime" to make baseball fit the description then fine. But football and the nfl in particular destroy baseball in every measurable method of popularity.

I knew there was somebody else, but I couldn't remember who it was. That season pissed me off.

This may the dumbest shite I've ever read on here, baseball will always be Americas past time. I wonder the total attendance last year for the falcons, braves, and the bulldogs.

'94 had some big numbers going. Then after that shortened season, the hitting numbers across the board went bat shite all time crazy.

If the bulldogs played 81 home games a year and had not won a championship since the 80's in football I would be curious what their Monday night attendance would be.
