He is obviously one of the bigger names in the NBA and played an undeniably important role on 3 championship teams. But for his career he is only averaging 9 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists per game. I cant think of any other Hall of Famer with stats that mediocre but I can think of a lot of players with better stats who havent/wont get in. Will the rings alone be a good enough case for him?

Low bar for the basketball HOF. Former DPOY and an all star. I think he'll probably get in. At the crossroads of his career and could go several different ways..

I thought HoF is about the player himself and championship is a team accomplishment.

He'd have to prove himself on another team IMO. This year should be a good look at how efficient he is without a Klay, Steph, or Kevin around him.

And he’s not off to a good start.

Most overrated player in history.

I remember when idiots said he would put up 20+ efficiently on another team and it's just because on gsw he's not asked to.

Idiots.

Kevin love sucks but was like a 20/12 guy on Minnesota just because he was the only guy there and had to.

If Draymond was as good as everyone made him out to be, he should be doing similar things this year.

Doubtful. Great player for a small period of time but far from a hall of fame. And I love me some Draymond.

Easily. Him being able to play small ball five changed the nba and made the warriors the greatest team in league history.

lol what?

I don't think you are grasping at all the type of player he is if you're comparing him to Kevin Love

On the list of what made the warriors so great, is klay, steph and Durant.

Swap draymond out for any other body and the results are the same.

Answer here is yes.

Guys in here are acting like every Hall to Famer currently would be great at being the #1 option on a team, which is naive, to put it nicely.

nope. he’s up there with any of them. Can guard anybody on the court and one of the best playmaking bigs the league has ever seen.

Playmaking is the most valuable skill in the nba.

Yikes. They were great before KD and you legit have zero understanding of what the small ball lineup meant to the Warriors.

Also, swap him out for David Lee, we saw the results, so your line was already proven wrong.

Draymond was an all star and a member of team USA. He’s also being discussed in this thread as a hall of famer.

You don’t think any other basketball player with those credentials can’t average (or get close to) 20/10 on such a talent depleted team as this years warriors, especially in the modern nba where teams are averaging 110ppg? It’s Russell, draymond and a bunch of G leaguers.

He's not a #1 option.

Many guys in the Hall were never #1 options. You seem to really not understand that.
