So then why pay either of them if you can just plug anyone in there

Maybe I’m weird, but to me, “system QB” label doesn’t always necessarily mean you can plug in anyone.

Montana and Brady can be labeled system QBs, as can Burrow at LSU. It means they mastered a specific system, and they were the best in their field at it. Would Brady have had the same success in a Terry Bradshaw system (run, run then air it out)? Montana?

Foles fit Peterson’s system perfectly. He was getting it down to a science. Then he had to move to another team. Just because he thrived in that specific system doesn’t mean another QB would.

I mean obviously different QBs fit with different systems better than others, but it would be disingenuous to pretend like people use the term “system QB” for anything other than in a derogatory way.

I’m trying to figure out where I’ve been overly angry or upset in this thread

this is funny

when the offense or defense gets worked in game(s) fans/social media/TD points to being the players fault (i.e. its not the coach or coaches that's dropping passes, missing tackles, throwing ints, getting flagged)

but when the team makes a run has a great season or wins the SB, all praise goes to the coach.

which one is it?

Dude played for the tie.

If I was his owner I’d have fired him on the spot.

You can make the argument that Doug is a good coach, but do not point to a 1-2-1 first place team as proof.

Why shoulda point to that, thats what you guys are for right? So at the moment he's leading his division, Plus he has a Super Bowl win. So back to the original question?

Pederson is def a good coach
Their talent has been going in the wrong direction every year

They have a few good players on offense and a few on defense

I know he wasn’t very good today but Foles was by far the better option, especially because of the cap space that could have been freed up by cutting ties with Wentz after the SB.
