Last night, with Queen Cait on the bench, they looked like the best team in the league. The last time she actually played, they lost to an expansion team.

Clark is only getting worse while the team is getting better without her. Should they consider trading her (perhaps to a big market team) while they still can get something in return? Might be good for them and good for the league.

Damn, I didn't realize her stock was dropping that fast. They better get rid of her before it's too late. How many black lesbians do you think she's worth on the trading block?

You think 54th best shooter in the league is exciting to watch? You think 1-23 on 3-pt shooting is exciting to watch?

All I hear on this board is how awful the league is. But now suddenly 54th best shooter in the league is worth watching. 1-23 on 3-pointers is suddenly worth watching.

Her team just demolished the best team in the league...with her sitting on the bench. The last time she played, her team lost...to an expansion team.

All that to say, she's not that good in comparison to the rest of the league. There must be some other reason why she's being touted as a generational talent.

I'll say it again, if she were black, this board wouldn't be giving her the time of day. It's quite telling the posters who are irrationally upset by that comment.

First of all, she's not the 54th best shooter in the league. You are using 1 single metric to prioritize the whole entire league. That seems a little like cherry-picking a stat. If she continues to struggle this year and into the next few years, then yes, people will change their opinion about where she currently ranks amongst her piers. As it currently stands, she was first team ALL-WNBA last year. Prior to her 1/23 3 point shooting, she was shooting 40% from 3, see how I can cherry-pick a stat to prove a point? Since you didn't want to answer my question regarding Shaq vs Steph I will show you how ridiculous it is to use FG% as the metric for the best shooter in the league. From 2012-2017, do you know who led the NBA in FG%? DeAndre Jordan! Shaq led the NBA 10 times and Dennis Rodman led it 1 time! Do you know who has never led the league in FG%? Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller. Those are arguably THE BEST shooters in the past 10-15 years and yet, not a single one of them ever led the NBA in FG%. In fact, none of those guys have EVER even finished in the top 10 in FG%. You know who else joins that illustrious list of never winning much less finishing in the top 10? A guy named Michael Jordan and another guy named Larry Bird.

Earlier this season they beat the best team, who was undefeated at the time, with Clark but of course you leave that out as you are completely dishonest. Clark had 32pts, 9 assists and 8 rebounds in that game but again it doesn’t fit your narrative so you lie by excluding it.

Yeah and 2 games ago she had 19 points 10 assist, 3 games ago, she had 11/7/9, 4 games ago, she had 20 points and 5 games ago, against the New York Liberty, the current #3 seed, she had 32/9/8! But truly, she had 19 points and 10 assist 2 games ago! If that is getting worse, I would hate to see what getting better looks like!

Hey, man, black lesbians matter. I want to see them get the recognition they deserve. One of them even showed some love to Caitlin in the locker room the other day. But her entitled white arse said "no thanks." Trade her now.

Percentage-wise, yes she is.

You can't be 54th in the league in shooting percentage and go 1-23 on 3-pointers - supposedly her signature shot - and call her a generational talent. If you do, you have ulterior motives. It's plain and simple.

It’s like saying Seth Curry is a better shooter than Steph because his % is higher. Or like saying KAT is a better shooter than Ray Allen or that Dennis Rodman in 1989 was the best shooter in the NBA. He doesn’t know anything about the sport so he can’t interpret the information correctly. When you see him accuse every other poster of “never watching a game” it’s a pretty safe bet he’s projecting to hide the fact that he never has.

His arguments are all paper thin and flat out silly. Remember Steph Curry in 2019 when he got hurt, he was shooting 24.5% from 3 but nobody’s stupid enough to say he was a poor shooter or that Giannis was now a better shooter because his % was higher that year. Only this dolt makes those kinds of arguments.

I know this may be hard to believe but sometimes shooters go through slumps! It happens in baseball all of the time with Hall-of-Fame level hitters and also happens in the NBA as well. I see you still aren't willing to discuss the fact that Shaq is a "better shooter" than Step because he has a higher FG%? Here is another great example of how dumb that specific stat is to how good the player is. This year, Jayson Tatum ranked 6th on his team in FG%, Jaylen Brown was 1 spot above him! Donovan Mitchell ranked 11th on his own team! Garland was 3 spots above him! Jokic was 3rd on his own team! Apparently all of those guys really suck at shooting if they can't even lead their team in FG% right? Of the top 10 scoring leaders this year, NONE of them even led their own teams in FG%. Most of them were at least 5th on their own teams in FG%! What I am trying to tell you is maybe FG% isn't as important for shooters as you think it is. Maybe, and this is a crazy thought, people call her a generational talent because she does a little more than just shoot well. Like Steph, she is known not only for her shooting but also her playmaking ability. Yes they both shoot from distances that most other players can't shoot from. They also create opportunities for other players on their team.

You keep projecting what she might be. And that's fine. She has potential. No doubt about that.

I'm just stating what she actually is right now, and that is an average player in the league. Average players don't get proclaimed as "generational talent."

She is being marketed by the league as the Second Coming. I get it. That's how businesses work. She's "different" she's white and (presumably) straight. That much has been emphasized.

And it's working. Even the racist homophobes are taking an interest, where they wouldn't otherwise if she were black and/or homosexual.
