CUSA geographically would be a perfect fit for them.
conference USA is not interested in louisiana tech ..

You must admit, part of their 'fan base' problem during their winning years is due to a huge overshadowing effect of LSU's dominance in the past decade.
yes, louisiana tech, arkansas, ULM, ole miss, mississippi state, etc. have allowed LSU to start coming into louisiana since dinardo made in-roads with the evangel and west monroe programs in the mid-90s ..

Oh, so Tech can't even pack the house with the teams that their fans actually like seeing. Tech is a joke.

Growing up in West Monroe, I always sensed a little elitism from Tech. It reminded me of all those girls I went to high school with who lived in trailer parks but were still snobby to me. They weren't uglier or prettier than anyone else, and they weren't dumber or smarter than anyone else, and sure enough, ten years after high school, they haven't really done anything with their lives.
Tech's place is in the Sun Belt with natural rivals like ULM, ULL, ASU, Troy, MTSU, etc, not in the WAC with NMSU, USU, Idaho, BSU, FSU, SJSU, etc...

Have any connection to NLU/ULM? That would explain your hatred of Tech.

One problem with Tech joining another conference is the money it will lose with other sports other than football. Their other programs are very MEDIOCRE. Also, attendance at their games have hurt a little bit in every sport. Just go to a basketball game there. Maybe 500 people show up on AVG. Also, when you can't sell out a football game for an SEC school(MSU) coming to town, especially one that is fairly close to Ruston, there is something wrong. Not to mention in that past, they have had to put blue tarps over seats to make it look more full.
They can say what they want about not wanting to play Sun Belt schools, but last time I checked ULL had higher attendance avg than Tech in EVERY sport this past year.

1. They are afraid to play ULM. Certain sell-out.
2. They are afraid to play ULL. Likely sell-out.
3. They won't play Grambling. ULM proved this will sell a 30K stadium out.
Those first 2 would be some good games. Grambling would be good for attendance.

It's already a fact that Tech is superior than ULM & ULL

maybe by wins but definitely not by attendance.

There's just nothing athletically that sets Tech apart from the Sun Belt. And anytime a school cancels an annual rivalry because they think they've "outgrown" it, and their average football season is about 5-7, frick that school.
There's no big future for Tech; they'll always be runts.

As far as the overall program - I am not too sure.

The difference isn't so big that there shouldn't be an annual game between the two. Tech's just got its collective head up its collective arse.
LT vs. ULM = fun
LT vs. ULL = fun
LT vs. SLU =
LT vs. Nicholls =
LT vs. Central Arkansas =
And next year they're playing Nicholls (again) and Navy. Navy's the big ringer they're bringing to Ruston? Great job, Tech! Way to move up!

Because I like cfb, and when schools go out of their way to make it boring as shite, I hate them.
Therefore, I hate Tech. They won't play ULM, which would be interesting, and they won't play ULL, which would be interesting.
Interesting:
- Big time matchups
- natural/regional rivalries
Uninteresting:
- cupcake games
- bush league matchups with teams that are 2000 miles from each other and can't spot each other on a map
- FBS/FCS games
The only interesting thing Tech has done in the last five years is bring an SEC team to Ruston and win a competitive game. That's it. Literally everything else they've done has been god-awful and boring.
What gets me is that Tech is going to Auburn and LSU next year with the idea that they're not a bullshite cupcake game for the other team. "But we beat Alabama that one time!" Tech fans will say. Well, everybody has beaten Bama once--even the Warhawks. Every time LSU plays Tech, Tech fans on the Tech boards say "LSU better be ready," and then it's 42-0 at halftime.
Tech is trying in vain not to be a Sun Belt team, but nobody is fooled.

and LSU is superior to tech and still plays you .. so why not play ULM and ULL if you are so "superior" to them ?? man, you could fill the stadium and beat the "inferior" opponent ..
