After talking with Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James, the NBA will take no action in the aftermath of his social media post of a song lyric that referenced "Jewish money," a league source told ESPN on Monday.

The league office accepted his explanation that he made a mistake, a source said.

James had been quoting the song "ASMR" by the performer 21 Savage on Saturday, typing the lyrics "We been getting that Jewish money. Everything is Kosher" onto a public Instagram account with 45.9 million followers.

The irony of it all is hilarious

“It’s just a song lyric”

Well, what Lebron did isn’t inherently as egregious as an announcer saying Russell Westbrook was playing out of his cotton picking mind.

I personally don’t think he should be in trouble but there’s obviously a double standard in public opinion if it were a white person doing it. I’m not stating anything groundbreaking though.

What white player got any punishment for all the old tweet stuff? It's the same tsk tsk, apologize, and move on.

I don't remember a lesser athlete like Riley Cooper being fined by the NFL( maybe the Eagles did something) ?

Ceratinly an unsusual misstep for LeBron ,but please stop with the victimization of Whites by society.

I think the rest of the world attributes those tweets to athletes being immature little shits.

The NFL didn’t do anything but the Eagles made him go to “sensitivity training”

Which doesn't answer the question. If it's a double standard they should be treated harsher, right? Like I said, it's the same tsk tsk, apologize, everybody moves on.

Definitely nothing bad he said

It is just the obvious double standard.

I don’t know what kind of discipline can be imposed for these tweets. 99% were probably before ever drafted.

Then they shouldn't fine players for saying No Homo...

A couple of players are owed refunds.

If it was Rubio (or any other non star) he would have been suspended.
