I'm surprised at how relatively cheap NFL stadiums are

I looked it up and So-Fi stadium is the most expensive at $5.5 Billion which is way cheaper than I thought it would be.

For comparison, Microsoft bought a video game studio for more than that ($7.5 billion {and made their money back already})

In addition, the Cowboys vaunted stadium only cost about $1.5 billion, and it seems a lot of stadiums cost a similar amount.

I guess it just goes to show there isn't as much money in sports as I thought there was.

I had always assumed they would cost more like $20-50 billion, maybe even $100 billion.

I guess it's different to me cuz I'm always on top of what the mega corporations are doing, so a billion bucks seems like an insignificant number.

So-Fi’s cost also includes the surrounding complex.

Then I guess you don’t remember people talking about how ATT&T stadium was $1B at the time. Think it went up 100x since then?

What the frick? You thought they spent 100 BILLION DOLLARS to build a stadium? Are you drunk?

They've built 17 new football stadiums since 2000. You really thought it was a near trillion dollars to build them all?

Yeah, I guess following the maga corps too much has changed how I perceive money in the hands of the ultra rich. To them, a billion dollars is pocket change.

That's what happens when you realize some kids on twitch have made more money than Tom Brady and his wife combined.

I have no idea whether I can take you at your word on this since you thought some stadiums cost $100 billion.

I'm surprised that so many people think $100 billion is some kind on insurmountable number.

Y'all poors.

I thought this was going to be about how Levi's cost 1.3b and was constructed in the age of the super stadiums yet is a literal pile of shite
