Can you even name another player on the 2007 Cavaliers team that won the Eastern Conference?
Without googling?
Larry Hughes
Damon Jones
Donyell Marshall I think
Big Z
They sucked...why are we talking about them? They beat Detroit, LeBron had arguably the best ECF game ever, then got there arse handed to them by the Spurs.
LeBron carried them...he's a great player. So what?

Curry is a one trick pony who gets to shine because of his team design and surrounding talent. He's marginal on the vast majority of NBA teams.
Which trick would that be? His finishing at the rim?
His handles? His 3 pt shooting?
To OP, no. Peak Lebron is better

the way Curry hits shots is more visually pleasing, but i think pound for pound Lebron is able to impact the game more

He was slightly above average before Kerr, no disputing that.

quote:You are completely missing the point. Klay stretches a defense like few others. People aren't sticking to Wade and Bosh like they're sticking to Klay. You could argue a guy like Ray Allen commands a similar amount of attention to help LeBron's offensive spacing, but not Wade or Bosh.
Did Wade (or Bosh) never take heat off of LeBron? I really don't get why people are using Klay as a negative. LeBron has never won a ring without Wade or Bosh. You need good players to win a title.
Klay opens up a ton of space for Steph and vice versa.

So you think Curry is marginal on any other NBA team too?
I agree with the first sentence, not that he would be marginal on other teams

overreaction thread
I knew someone would say that, but it's retarded.
2 straight MVPs
Title last year
73 wins this year
Another finals appearance.
You call that overreacting?

LeBron won 66 games with Mo Williams as the second best player on his team.
Sasha Pavlovic
Larry Hughes
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Drew Gooden
Anderson Varejo
Donyell Marshall
Damon Jones
Daniel Gibson
That was the Cavs playoff contributors in 2007 other than Lebron.

Ehhh, these past two seasons stack up pretty well with LeBrons prime seasons. Even with steph only having slightly above average defense
Posted on 5/30/16 at 10:48 pm to PortCityTiger24
Besides the MVPs you named all team accomplishments. Which has been what people are trying to point out to you

So you think he's a one trick pony? So he can't finish around the rim? He has terrible handles? He can't pass the ball? Tell me what he can't do?
Posted on 5/30/16 at 10:49 pm to lsupride87
To be fair, he could make a solid case using individual stats
But then it's going to be, those stats wouldn't be as good without those teammates. Just running in circles.

Your point is just really bad if you think the key to Curry's success is Thompson. Klay is the perfect complement. Doesn't matter. When Klay is off the court Steph still tourches whoever is guarding him.

So taking that team to the Finals might be the single greatest individual accomplishment in NBA playoff history. That Pistons team was great, that was their 5th consecutive ECF appearence with two Finals appearences behind them. Curry couldn't take that bunch to the Finals.

Doesn't count to his ring collection since he didn't win finals mvp or thats what I've learned from the MSB basketball crowd

His handles are ok, don't act like they're something special. Same thing around the rim, sure he can finish, but he's not great at it in any way

That's one hell of an argument.
Taking the back to back MVP is just dumb!! He won tonight so you're living in the moment!
You're too lazy to consider it because LeBron has dominated the league for so long and is still dominating. This ain't taboo, you're just making it that way.
