Definitely not better than Watson.

I agree and Watson wasn’t even really mentioned for #1 overall although the best QB in that draft wasn’t in the conversation for #1 either.

Lawrence is good but I've been around long enough to have seen Troy Aikman, Todd Marinovich, Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, and a few others in college. Lawrence still hasn't reached those guys level in college.

This is true... Cam Newton's year at Auburn will be nearly impossible to top.

Lawrence isn't even on Tua's level. Sorry but he's not.

And if they have anyone worth anything who won't be around when the rebuild is done, trade them too.

The Cowboys-Raiders trade (Cowboys 1st round pick for Amare Cooper) worked well for Dallas, that's for sure.

Mitchell Trubisky was taken second overall that draft

Let it sink in

Even worse, the 49ers convinced them to trade up from 3 to 2 in order to ensure they get tribisky by giving up 2 3rd round picks and a 4th.

I like to give players some time.
But Trubisky doesn’t seem accurate at all.
He has sailed a lot of passes

Love how the knock on Watson was the simplified offense when that was basically the same one with Mitch

Watson has thrown some pretty passes this year
That saints game was great.

He doesn’t seem great at the whole passing thing.

Good observation. 28% of his passes have been uncatchable this season. Behind only Cam Newton.

What’s Cam’s number?
Seems like 40%
My god he stinks

I agree - Lawrence is who you want - is he not eligible to enter the 2020 draft?

In terms of developing players I don’t think you can field a team this awful a 2nd year in a row.

Take Tua if you love him, so much can change in a year anyway. Between the other high picks and cap space you can build some talent around him in 2020.

Yah they'd have to take Tua IMO. Cant risk going 3-13 in 2020 and missing Lawrence.

He would have been the #1 pick after his true freshman season had he been eligible. That’s never been true of any player before him.

That's still one year of data. Hackenburg looked damn good his freshman year too.
