I think he'd be crazy to leave Clemson and don't think he would at this point.

But he really, REALLY is passionate about pretty much every aspect of UA and idolizes some of the coaches who helped him there along the way.

I think he'll coach at Alabama one day. Just not right after Saban leaves.

No

But if he does, it would be awesome for so many reasons

I just think Dabo has an old school streak and has a different character than most career climbers.

I admit Alabama would be a draw because he played there, but he seems very content in his corner of the wold doing what he's doing

eta to keep him obviously

Three years ago I would've set yeah but he continues to have major success there and he built this Clemson empire by himself. No reason whatsoever for him to leave Clemson/ACC.

In the past I would have said yes but he's creating his own dynasty/legacy at Clemson now. Plus he has a much easier path. I think both coaches success are the byproduct of their respected conferences being so weak the past few years. Especially Dabo. If the ACC was even remotely competitive Clemson wouldn't be who they are today.

Only if he gets double his salary and a ten year contract. He could then slack-off and take it easy knowing that if he gets fired he still has a lot of money coming his way.

to coach his alma mater ?

Overrated romanticized idea.

No shot he leaves. He has the 1a program in the nation which will likely become the solid one when Saban quits. He can possibly win a handful of titles at Clemson. He would always be compared to others at Bama.

Indeed. His interviews are damn near heart-warming. He talks about his players and program the way Michael Scott talks about his employees and Dunder Mifflin. I can't see him turning his back on what he's built with that sort of emotional investment.

If Dabo wins 4 titles at Clemson, he will be right there in the GOAT discussion, thats only two more.

If he jumps to Bama, he needs at least 4-5 more titles to be there

Because he played, graduated and coached there maybe?

I hope he doesn't go there, but I'd definitely understand if he left clemson to go there.

I don't think he will, but you never know what coaches are going to do.

Maybe, just maybe Dabo will come out and proclaim " Well, I guess I have to say it...I will not be the Alabama Coach." That will just solve this, and put it to bed right?

agree about the ACC being super easy tho. That's a great point.

ACC isn’t that easy. 3 national championships in the last six years. Probably the 2nd best conference in the country consistently with a few years recently better than the SEC
