I also think the NFL had something to do with this case being place on the D.A.'s desk a 2nd time after it was already thrown out. Is it not convenient that this originally happens a day after the Rice tape is released by TMZ? Look at the headlines on this board. How many are about Rice right now? All Peterson.

Agree with this, it would be a much bigger deal. We didn't know a lot about Peterson. Peyton would be looked at as a fraud and women/casual fans would be coming out of the woodwork even more than they are.

Peterson didn't think he had done anything wrong. If Manning had done that to his kids they wouldn't have been going the doctor until the wounds had healed.

No, it isn't convenient. This situation has only made Goodell and the NFL look worse. It doesn't benefit them.

Goodell was in jeopardy of losing his job and possibly may have lost it by now if the Ray Rice story was still festuring. It is essentially dead in the water now thanks to this week long saga with Peterson. The Vikings suspended Peterson, not the league.
