KT is far from Kelce. You are comparing a below average player to the best TE in the game. Jimmy Johnson said it best, some players would be cut for their actions that superstars would hardly be reprimanded for.

Okay, so you are saying there is a difference if a Walter Nolan pushed Lane vs a Judkins who was in the dog house?

What’s the sane logic in saying the best TE in the league should be treated differently. What’s the ethical difference exactly?

Unlike you, Dan Campbell understands the competitiveness nature of this game and his player, so none of that would have happened.

Looks like Andy brushed it off to passion. Travis was a sarcastic bitch about it. He said something like, “oh you guys say that? That was between us, but I was telling him I loved him.” Then laughed it off.

Kelce is kind of a psychopath during games so it’s pretty on brand.

When he first came in the league with the Chiefs he was damn near uncontrollable....Reid has calmed him down a lot.

Different rules for different fools. That’s the way it always is.

The post-game comments:

“You guys saw that?” Kelce said. “I’m going to keep it between us unless my mic’d up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I loved him.”

Reid said Kelce just wanted to be on the field. “There’s nobody I get better than I get him,” Reid said. “He’s a competitive kid. He loves to play. He makes me feel young. But my balance is terrible.”

Nothing at all will come of this.

On the largest KC Chiefs message board I would wager that 90% of the posters are supporting Kelce, saying that Kelce is just competitive and the Chiefs’ play calling had been caca up until that point and that Kelce should have been on the field for the play where Pacheco fumbled, and that Reid needed to get the message.

IMO the difference in reaction is the difference between mostly old-school college fans who are used to dictatorial large and in charge coaches, and pro fans who accept that the players run the show and coaches are a dime a dozen.

You’ll recall that one reason Saban left the Dolphins is that Daunte Culpepper called him an MF to his face and he really didn’t have all that much recourse.

Btw the AJ Brown account was fake. Made the news. ‘Twas a race baiting troll, but he apologized bc people somehow went after AJ Brown who did nothing. Just another Daniel account.

Naturally. When we posted Myles Garrett won the DPOY. Someone said TJ Watts should have won. The tread tanked bc it turned black and white real fast. So people on this board do that too. But that’s why I’m mention it isn’t a race thing, it’s a preferential treatment thing. It’s a star player that got away with something unlikeable players would get fired for. Brown is right. His àss would have been fired. He was a very good but disliked player on that team. Patrick Mahomes is black. If Patrick pushed Andy, nothing would happen to him. Bc he’s a star. It’s not a race thing but it’s understandable how people will instantly jump to that.

There are large swathes of society, that want to make everything about race.

You have guys like Ryan Clark and SAS who do it all the time. What’s ironic though, is that the folks on here who are often the biggest complainers about those guys either do it themselves or tolerate it without complaint when the roles are reversed.

With regard to Kelce or Mahomes if he had done it, those guys through their normal
Standards of professionalism and level of play of earned the benefit of the doubt from Andy Reid in that situation. Toney hasn’t.
