You're so adept at judging just pure boxing talent - quality of opponents don't matter to you...you can compare all the great fighters simply by your analytic skill judging their skill.

Guerrero
De la Hoya
Zab Judah
Ricky Hatton
Marquez
Jose Luis Castillo....twice
Miguel Cotto
Arturo Gatti
Diego Corrales

Who are the other worthy contenders (besides Pac) that he didn't fight?

Take as much time as you need. And say hello to your mother for me.

You badly missed my point.

He beat Hopkins early in his career. Before he started getting knocked out left and right, the only knock on Jones was that the only decent fighter he had beaten was Hopkins.

Just about all champion level guys weight in at the limit.

Or a pound below.

Mayweather and Robert Guerrero reached their welterweight limit at Friday's weigh-ins ahead of their bout on Saturday evening. Mayweather tipped the scales at 146 pounds

Let me be more clear.
1. Mayweather isn't a middleweight. He would never fight as a middleweight.
2. Ray was the welterweight champion for a time. He didn't enjoy fighting that light, and so he moved up and fought heavier.
3. But if Ray agreed to fight Mayweather at 147, then we got ourselves a fight. And Mayweather wins.

But Jones is way bigger than Mayweather. They would never fight.

This is why the term "pound for pound" is used.

James Toney

Reggie Johnson
etc etc etc

Roy has one of the deepest resumes in modern boxing.

These boxers went 42-21 after fighting Mayweather. Not exactly stellar. The best of those after Mayweather were Castillo at 18-6 and Marquez at 5-1. De la Hoya was 1-1, Hatton 2-2 Gatti 1-2 and Cotto was 0-1. Big names but not exactly in the prime of their careers. Did not include Guerrero as they just fought.

Margarito - outright duck
Paul Williams - outright duck
Mosley and Cotto - should of fought them years before he did
Stevie Johnston - conveniently moved up in weight before he became his mandatory
Kostya Tszyu - although it is plausible that he ducked Floyd.

This is funny. I love the etc. etc. etc. And I love you trying to pass of Hill, Malinga, and Johnson as top flight boxers.

Reggie Johnson? Come on, dude, you hadn't really convinced yourself I didn't know boxing, had you?

There can be no denying that Jones fought a dearth of top notch guys. This is more glaring with respect to Jones than Mayweather. But I hate that argument as applied to both Jones and Mayweather. They fought the guys that were there.

But for God's sakes don't throw the resumes away. A fighter's resume -- his various accomplishments throughout his career -- are a means to the end of determining who the best P4P fighter is.

It focuses the analysis when you try to answer the question of which fighter was the best at their best. But you can't answer the question without referring to their careers.

So what is your argument for Floyd over Hopkins/Pacquiao/Barrera etc

And I was right there to watch Mayweather beat that arse. He does what he does, it's not super exciting but it's effective and he wins fights.

Does Margarito get to use of plaster of paris if they fight?

When did this alleged outright duck take place?
