You don’t know your college football history lol

Sanders isn’t even in the top 5 of their worst coaches. Hell he’s probably not even in the top 10. Or 15.

This is a pretty sad thing if kids only choose a college based on how their athletic program is. If you are an athlete, sure.
But for Joe Business Major you probably should look for the university with the best academics.

As for the do over, they probably would since it's bringing in cash.

Athletics are advertising for schools. You really think anyone really gives a shite about the difference between the 5th best nursing school and the 13th best?

Think of how many primetime games they have had. Think of all the sold out games they have had.

The experiment didn't work in the end. But they most definitely had a huge profit out of it.

The “Coach Prime” effect is not quite as strong as it was last season, but it remains outsized — even, or perhaps especially, when the Buffaloes are losing badly.

Saturday’s Colorado-Nebraska college football game averaged 6.3 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, according to Nielsen fast-nationals and Adobe Analytics — easily the most-watched game in the network’s “Big Ten Saturday Night” franchise. (NBC has drawn larger audiences for its Notre Dame package in the past year, including ten million for a matchup with Ohio State last season.

He’s been there for what 18 months? And 14 games.

What coach was available and interested in the job that would have had a better record in the last 14 games with them? Who was going to have the revenue and interest effect?

Everyone wants to say it was a bad hire or experiment or whatever but no one can seem to present a better or even equal alternative.

And why are y’all so ornery about him anyways? Colorado doesn’t have a rival in the SEC. They haven’t played anyone in the SEC since he got there and they don’t have one scheduled this year. He hasn’t said anything about any SEC school.

Is it because he gets attention in the media and you are too lazy to change the channel or tune it out so your anger isn’t even really about him but your own laziness?

Most of y’all really are miserable human beings.

Alabama winning had the same effect.

And Colorado is a solid state school. The only SEC schools ranked higher are Vandy, UT, Texas A&M and Florida

CU hasnt historically supported athletics very well.

It will not take much to put them over the edge.

they were a solid program in the late 80/90s until the 04 drumming in the big 12 championship

Like coach prime or not, but this is the first time CU has had anything to be excited about since the rape scandal.

If anything, Prime might have reminded CU boosters that it is fun to have a program worth watching.

Great question. The answer is no. Hate em or love em this is our male Kardashian entertainment TV and Colorado is racking in the Benjamins. Gentlemen, we've become our wives and Dion is the male Kris Jenner.

Dion is gone once his boy(s) + Hunter are drafted.

If he is the leader he attempts to portray he has an exit plan. Meaning, he is preparing the staff for his departure and has a head huncho in place to carry the torch of what he has started.

If that is not the case: the organization will be in absolute shambles. Dion about to make Coach O look like a saint

Yes, because their program is making more money now. Way more.

The program he inherited was already destroyed

Even if it’s in the exact same shape, they got a financial windfall out of these 2 years that easily dwarfs what they would have made with incremental improvement

Yes Deion got the money machine going. Now the best bet for all involved is for Deion to leave with his kids. Boosters will pay for a real coach.

Outside of a select few schools, where you get your degree from doesn't matter for your job prospects. Might as well have a grand old time at a school with good athletics.

No. They made a fortune with Prime.
Team trade wins for money all the time. Half of the SEC is in it for the money. They don’t have any chance to win.

And it’s not like the last five or so coaches of Colorado have done any better.

Colorado got duped

Sanders sold them on recruiting his arse off and he simply does not. It’s a shame too because he could be an elite recruiter and chooses not to be. I was rooting for him to succeed just to shake things up, but alas.

As of now, I think the answer is yes. But, it does seem like we are just one news cycle away from a complete implosion at CU.

I can't stand Deion and thinks he's failing, but he can only destroy that which he built because it was already in ruins when he got there. And he hasn't built much, at least much that is sustainable.

He's going to go out in a blaze of destruction and losing, but somehow I think they'll be a little bit better off than when he got there barring some sort of NCAA punishment.

Matt Rhule was available. Would have been an absolute homerun hire for Colorado.
