I don’t think they are disguising it. They are blatantly doing it because the NCAA thought it was a good idea to not set any rules regarding NIL.

I agree. The Whole system will have to have a complete overhaul and the university presidents will have to initiate it. The NCAA Will only have whatever power is granted to them at that point.

NIL can save the NCAA. It’s the only time they actually are needed. Do something Ncaa, ans gain respect.

What’s the difference?

This could have all been avoided if the NCAA and Emmert didn’t throw a hissy fit when the Supreme Court ruled in favor of NIL. Instead they they got all upset and threw their hands up saying they won’t deal with it out of spite. Should have set some rules to control it but the cat is out of the bag

The NCAA serves its intended function quite well for 98% of student athletes.

It was never intended to function for FBS or high level DI basketball.
