Well, it appears the objective data disagrees with your opinion.

I just assume people hate him because he's a Cowboy and gets pretty women.
He isn't super clutch in the last couple minutes but is a very good player. Many of the Romo meltdowns could be credited to other players.
As a Saints fan, I hate the Cowboys too but Romo is a likable guy. I like watching him and Ware play.

Yeah, pretty much my take.
He's not a great QB, but he's a good one.

Name one signifigant clutch moment from Romo
Itll be way easier and quicker however to name five games hes choked away.
This week, last week, vs seattle in his first playoff game, the playoff game against the Giants where he threw a billion pics against a team he beat twice that year, Jets game this year (please try and defend that one).
Thats just off the top of my head

Does the fact that his 4th quarter rating is better than anyone over the past several years not crush the myths about him being a late game loser?
No it doesn't.
Dallas continues to be hyped up every season, yet don't do jack. They are the Notre Dame of the NFL.

OBU posted a list of games dumbass.

I'm guessing he didn't look at the link.

That falls under the category of "Damn Statistic".

Add it all up and Romo has a 10-18 (.357) record when he has the ball in a close game in the fourth quarter/overtime, so he doesn’t always find a way to lose these games, as evident by his 9 fourth quarter comebacks and 10 game-winning drives. In just comeback situations, his record is 9-17 (.346).
Thats not including the past two weeks. So he is also 0-9 the last 9 times hes had the ball in a close game.
Every game he lost in that link, that had an excuse tucked away for him.
One of the games they counted was having the Cowboys up 24-21 In the 3rd quarter vs the Patriots in 07. They lost that game 48-27
None of those games were all that clutch and gave a shite ton of proof as to why hes not a cluch QB
Like I said, you can make stats say what ever you want.

So you don't bother to provide all the context of the other players who rank right around him in terms of game-winning and 4th quarter drives?
Stats are stats, you can't "make them" say anything. By their very nature, they are recording what has happened.
Data can be misinterpreted, not properly understood, or meaningless if not taken from a large enough sample.
But stats can't be "Made to say whatever you want."
Clearly, you are creating a definition of "clutch" (which has no quantifiable measure) in your head, and Romo will never fit it, no matter how much objective data is actually given to you.
Such is life.

The point of this thread (or my intentions) was just a back handed way of saying that he is what he is. He's a pretty good story for an undrafted guy. He puts up nice numbers, but has poor decision making at bad times.
ETA: And the dude is anti-clutch. I don't give a shite what 4 quarter numbers you throw up, anyone that has been watching sport center over the past 6 or 7 years know this.

There's your problem. You will ignore stats because you have already made up your mind based on how Espn told you to.

BS. I said the dude puts up nice numbers. You don't have to be a genius to see he makes some stupid arse decisions in crunch time. I nearly choked to death when that dummy threw to Revis early this year. And espn does everything in it's power to suck off Romo when he has some nice games to keep Cowboy nation happy, but every one knows that he's had all the talent in the world around him, and all it's amounted to is beating up on a weak arse Eagles team in 09.

That doesnt even make sense. If that were true then the OP would be a completely serious comment
ESPN is the first one to hop on the Romo bandwagon and talk about how awesome he is and how even though he never come through in the clutch, hes ready to have an MVP type season Next year

The media builds people up to bring them down. This is what makes stories. It is what they do.

No. You are forgetting about the 49ers, Dolphins and both Redskins games from this year.

They had a great team in 07 and maybe 08. Other than that they have had a decent team.

Tony Romo is 31 years old; he is what he is at this point. Not much more room for him to improve IMO. He's a good, sometimes great QB. He's a borderline Top 10 QB in the NFL and that's good enough to win a Superbowl.
