I think it maybe one of the best ever. Inbounding with one second left?
And to those who say it is luck, yeah, lebron is just lucky to be in the NBA, there was really no skill involved in that.

It's just ESPN and a lot of society today. We see it during college football season as well. They always say that what happend today is better than what happened yesterday because it happened today.
Yep, ESPN thinks everything is the greatest of all time. Whether it's the NFL, NCAA, MLB or NBA. It's the greatest shot of all time, it's the greatest catch of all time, it's the greatest run of all time. Then they say the same thing the next week about another story.
Either that or they harp on the same stuff for 2-3 weeks, "Is Favre un-retiring, is he not."" What's new with Manny."
The only sports channel that kisses up as much as ESPN is Fox Sports coverage of the Kyle Busch, I mean NASCAR, races.

shot in game 2 is probably the best shot in Playoff History
Seriously ESPN
Great shot by great player. But best ever?
Not even close. Not even on the GOAT radar.

Name any shot you believe to be greater, and LJ's shot has a case against it.

quote:Every big shot Horry made was when he was wide open. Of course you're supposed to make that one. LJ had his body weight going in the opposite direction of the goal with a 6'10" guy in his face and a 1.0-second inbound play. It was a much harder shot to make.
I love that shot mainly by Horrys reaction....he knew he was suppose to make that shot.
Lebron acted like it was all luck it went in

Elliot game winner in '99
That was one great shot! Elliot was a class act and later we learned he had played that series with end stage renal failure.

Yes, the network declared that...
No, a person on ESPN expressed his or her opinion. Opinions of an analyst do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the network...

Abdul-Jabbar's sky hook to win the game for Milwaukee in game 6 vs Boston was pretty incredible in 1974.

ESPN is just going down its check list until the "greatest ever" in every sport in every moment, in every situation has happened during the ESPN era ..
