LSU and NC State the two schools I have rooted for my whole life square off for the first time in any of the big three sports during my lifetime and it's in a Do or die situation.

I'm really distraught.

Geaux Tigers

EDIT: This thread was made in fun, I am upset about the two teams playing each other in the first round, but I know where my allegiance ultimately lies.

No question I will root for the Tigers. Went to school there.

Mother grew up on the campus in Raliegh, while my grandfather attended after his tour in the Navy. Have watched 100s of NC State basketball games with my mom and grandfather and I have repped both teams my entire life, I am a Tiger until I die. Just upset that the first time they play each other had to be this way.

I went to LSU for undergrad and Georgia Tech for graduate school and had no problem at all cheering for LSU in the chicken bowl a few years ago. You know who your real team is, brah.

LOL, yeah I remember you mentioning that in a thread a few years back, you were one of the first people I thought about when it was announced. I got a million texts from my friends laughing about it, March Madness is my thing, lol.

I seriously blame myself for this, I sent a text to my buddies about a month ago when it was annouced that NC State and LSU were both invited to a preseason tournament in Brooklyn next season that they may finally play each other in something....I quickly texted them after that saying, I hope I didnt jinx it and they match up in the tournament. FML

Only positive is I think the winner has a good shot at the Sweet 16.

So NCSt is your secondary school. Who cares...you're an LSU fan.

Your only option is to not watch the game. Don't even think about it. When it's over it's over and then you'll have a team in the last 32 to root for.

Same ... undergrad from LSU, Masters from State. As frustrating as both teams have been this year, I think I'm just going to try to enjoy the game, knowing that one of my teams will advance.

Yeah exact same as me. I only started this thread because I knew there were a few posters on here that had some kinda tie to the Wolfpack.
