Holy crap. Remember when that was the game of the season? Now it barely gets a mention on Sports Center.

That's because Florida State sucks and nobody seems to care about Miami.

Yeah weird game. Florida state went from really good to really bad in the span of about 3 minutes.

I miss when it was the big game early in the year. They did have a scuffle before the game so that part didn’t change.

Yeah, that fricking sucks.

Never liked either team...hated Miami.

But CFB is dead today to some degree if that game is the equivalent of Akron vs. Ohio.

From 1986 to 1996 - it was probably the most anticipated game of the year depending on the season.

How could the Florida schools not always be huge? I don't get it. It's fricking Florida - is Saban stealing all their talent?

That series was intense in the early 2000's. Not only was there serious BCS implications, they just hated each other. It had that feel like a street fight could break out at any moment.

Everyone finally figured out that Florida is a hot bed for football talent. So all the major programs recruit there and recruit hard.

IIRC FSU was pretty good at taking south Louisiana talent.
