Game would’ve been 1 vs 2 nationally with a national title on the line.

Did they make this decision today?
Why not play the game tonight as scheduled?
Where was it to be held? Were teams already there?

So their options were to play the game tonight or reschedule it 6 weeks later so it could be nationally televised. And since rescheduling it 6 weeks later does not work out for various legitimate reasons, they are opting to cancel the game?

Seems the decision was made this week but IMG would be hosting:

So IMG says, hey, it’ll be 1vs2, let’s reschedule it for December for TV. But, we can’t play that far out so I guess we can’t play the game.

Not only that but they’re trying to hide behind academics which is bizarre.

I think the academic side is more that many of the players will be getting ready to enroll in college for the spring semester as early enrollees.
I understand that, so the decision to reschedule the game to mid-December is even dumber.
