I hit it pretty straight. So I could keep it in the low 80's.. maybe not four days in a row, but For one round yes...
How much have you had to drink already today?

Someone do a conversion chart for me.
I shot 92 at Dumas in Baker yesterday. What would that equate to at Merion?
My guess is about 13 3 or 4 putt holes and a total score of 134...

last place player Grayson Murray shot 81-83, he hardly broke the rotation at Wake Forest and transferred
I think if you asked him he would say he didnt play well
Lets say his handicap is around +4 or 5
I think I could keep it under 90 on a good day, Yes its a tough course but its not impossible and you're not going to be punished for good shots
4 over in the 7 easiest holes makes me a touring pro? lets extrapolate that to 18 and you're saying the average touring pro shoots 82 or so, thats what the last place player shot for two days and he's an amateur player from UNC-G

So you're saying that there are players playing in the U.S. Open that only managed to shoot a few shots better than what you think you'd shoot?

130 +. I'd have to hit driver on that par 3 to even have a shot of getting the ball anywhere near the green.

Here's the analysis on Augusta National for comparison. The author was the man who invented the course rating system. Pretty good read imo.
How Tough Is Augusta National?
Judging by the article and how much the pros are struggling at Merion, a 10 handicapper would probably shoot around 100

^^^ if they could even physically finish the round by not injuring themselves trying to hit out of that rough

Someone mentioned a scratch golfer shooting 85, and I'm sure some could, but I doubt that'd be the rule.
Most scratch golfers would shoot 80+ on a low level tour event setup, easy. From the looks of it, Merion right now is probably 15-20 strokes harder than such an event.
