Dont think I've seen an injury like that happen from just running onto the field before. Was weird.

He had been on the injury report for "achilles tendonitis" earlier in the playoffs. It was likely already weakened.

He has been dealing with achilles tendonitis, so that weakened the tendon

He also celebrated wildly earlier in the game and was stomping up and down & jumping around which didnt look great on a weakened tendon.

I ruptured mine 22 years ago. Jumped up to grab a rebound and it snapped. Honestly, it's doen't take much. Dan Marino ruptured his dropping back to pass with no contact.

He Maason Smith'd himself. He was jumping around on the sideline in excitement waiting to run onto the field.

Channeling his inner Maason Smith

It's a very good comparison because both of those guys were hyped up beyond normal. Maason Smith was celebrating a play which really didn't merit that level of celebration. But, he was so hyped up he did something that was atypical.

Greelaw looked like he was sitting at the starting gate waiting to get on the field. He was hopping around, just amped up. That move was abnormal.

There's no way of knowing whether it would have popped anyway. It may have. But, you see players who can't control their emotions wear out in big games. I view this as similar to that. He just needed a few more mins of playing to get settled.

Just a freak accident. I still remember Testaverde tearing his with a simple hand off to the RB.

Obviously you watch a lot of football, no players ever act like he did.....plus that is how he plays all the time.

As a Razorback, it just felt like status quo sadness. The kid is so intense and just, snap.
