He's my favorite player to watch in the league butI don't think they should give up Parsons for him. Parsons is too good of a value right now.

Morey must feel that Parsons has priced himself out of being resigned.

Yeah, I'm thinking the Rockets might just be testing the market with Parsons since they will have to pay him a lot of money in the future. Either that or trade him so he doesn't walk for nothing if they don't want to pay him.

Rondo can be incredibly divisive in a locker room because he will call a bitch out. Rondo and Dwight will be oil and water

Would be hilarious.... Lil 6ft Rondo would be giving Dwight nightmares.

And if the Rockets dont think they will be able to re-sign Parsons so they trade him, Rondo might be the best player they could get. Hes a really really good PG, just has trouble with his shot sometimes. And with the Rockets he wouldnt have to shoot that much at all. Pick and roll with Dwight and kick out to Harden would be a nasty offense. Regardless of his attitude, Rondo isnt a volume shooter. Especially when hes played alongside other good players. He knows what hes good at.

Zach Lowe says the Rondo price is two unprotected first round picks

Which is ridiculous.

I don't really know if it's ridiculous...1st rounders for a Houston team that should have a top 5 record for the next 3-5 years (if they have Rondo of course) may not really be difference makers, but it sounds like a lot in the NBA

The worst shooting PG of all time. Boston played better without him. Most overrated PG in the game.

You worried about rondo and Dwight getting into a fight? That is not how rondo operates. Rondo has a very biting way about him and Dwight can't stand to be criticized. Dwight and rondo fighting would benefit Dwight but rondo constantly pointing out how lazy Dwight is or how soft Dwight is would be a disaster for the rockets.

Rondo was managed by having KG in the locker room leading the team. When things are going poorly and no veteran leadership to hold him check, rondo could take over the rockets and gut Dwight emotionally. Dwight is very immature and rondo does not suffer fools lightly.

That is the real reason he and doc didn't get along. Rondo is a very harsh dude and he created a lot of turmoil.

The flip side is rondo cried when perkins was traded. So he can develop relationships and bond with team mates. His best friend in the league is josh smith, strangely enough

Well he isn't lazy or soft, so there wouldn't be an issue there.

He wasn't the best shooter for sure but he actually was the best in the league from mid-range from the right side of the court 1 year lol

Lulls

Yet he's still a 48% career scorer because the dude actually knows when to pass, doesn't take shots he knows he can't make and can score in the paint. Not to mention he's a relentless all nba defender and the best rebounding PG outside of CP3.

Meanwhile people want to praise guys like Wall, Lillard, Jennings, kemba, Irving etc and they struggle to shoot 40% while hoisting 15 shots a game as a "PG"

relentless
He really isn't. Rondo is well-known for taking games off. The only time he is absolutely going to show up is on nationally televised games. It's actually gotten a bit ridiculous in recent seasons. This may be moot for the playoffs, but I would still never describe Rondo as "relentless."

saw that Sacramento may be willing to do Thomas, Macklemore and 2 firsts. That would be an excellent deal for Boston.

The article I read said it was off the table because rondo wouldn't sign an extension.

I certainly don't agree with any of this. He is as fierce of a competitor as there is in the NBA, IMO.

This is obvious to any one who has watched him closely the last couple of years.

He is probably the best rebounding PG in the league, which is a huge plus considering the high amount of 3's taken in the league today. Long shots = long rebounds. He can often turn those long rebounds into points on the other end because of his quickness down the court.

He is also in the top 3 for passing PG's and you could make in argument for him being #1 considering the #'s he was putting up pre injury.

While you may be able to sag off of him on the perimeter it has never really been detriment to his game. It allows him to see the floor better to make great passes and he still is able to beat you off the dribble.

If you need him to be a guy to go get you 20 to 30 points a game then it is a bad fit, but surround him with some decent bigs and some good spot up shooters and he is deadly.
