The only other guy to get the "we just got the best wrestler in the world" treatment from Vince, with no WWE makeover, time spent jerking the curtain or no being treated like a chump, was Flair in 91-92.

95% of the time if Vince didn't create it, he doesn't care about it. Flair's first run and AJ 2016 are the only two exceptions I can think of. Sign him and put the title on him.

Haven't watched wrestling since about 2005, does Jericho still wrestle? Always enjoyed his work. He was great during WCW and his Y2J days.

WCW messed up by not pushing him more.

I agree with OP to some extent. AJ is a shell of his former self. So is Jericho. Their old and have dad bods now. All the Talent has been aging. They had to bring back the frickin Dudley boys not long ago for Christ's sake. Undertaker wrestled for 5 years too long. Brock is old, but at least he still looks the part. Also who cares how "good" of a "wrestler" AJ is? Charisma and entertainment is 80% of a WWE wrestler's worth, not wrestling. The Rock, Stone Cold, Rick Flair, Hulk Hogan,HHH etc. all were better entertainers than wrestlers. That's what this current line up is missing, badly. John Cena is OK, but as an entertainer he can't hold a candle to Rock, Stone cold, or Rick. I think Rollins is the best WWE guy right now. He was a GREAT Heel.

OP's opinion makes me believe he's a STUUUPID IDIOT... so i'm going to do him and everyone else in this thread a favor and put him where he belongs.

With that being said,

Dude without getting to gay with it, AJs figure is better in NJPW/WWE than it was in TNA. He's less bulky and more lean. Dude just did a springboard 450 from the top rope through a table on the floor last PPV. His heel character has been more entertaining than his early day stuff. Practically anyone who's followed his career arc knows he's elevated his game to absurd levels the last 3 years. He was good in TNA, but not "phenomenal" character wise. Wrestling always murked.

Y2J and Kevin Owens are the only things that are "fresh" on the RAW brand side, especially Y2J. He's as entertaining as ever and people who follow wrestling use his quotes more than anybody by a mile when joking around on Wreddit etc.

I love all the people who make fun of it. If you watch any scripted TV, you have no right to make fun of wrestling. It's entertainment that is heightened or made worse by its live element. These guys have also put their bodies through more shite than almost anybody's favorite athlete too. Yeah we get it, it's fake. But the real human element and moving pieces make it entertaining. I've gone years without watching, it sucks sometimes. But it isn't sucking now.

Shinsuke Nakamura has one of the best entrances ever in the history of the sport right now. Can't wait to hear 10,000+ strong singing his theme song.

30 and I enjoy watching wrestling again since my favorite wrestler joined WWE in 2016. Why do you care so much?

For $10/mo I get to watch all the PPVs and commercial-less Hulu gets me through RAW and SD in 30 mins typically. That's not much investment for entertainment return.
