re: How dumb does the media look regarding Westbrook?

To distribute to whom? Besides KD they really dont have any scorers (Martin is streaky and inconsistent). They need RW to score point blank period. Unless you think KD can avg 50/game
Someone gets it. The Thunder need an aggressive scorer, an alpha to complement Durant. Replacing him with a distributer to get KD more shots is what people were calling for. That's dumb.

Westbrook and KD work just fine together. The idea that they don't is 100% media fabrication.

Lebron doesn't lose this series with exact team

Google something like "Westbrook is a ball hog" or "Westbrook needs to pass more" or "the thunder should trade Westbrook"
How does what happened change that? The whole point was that the Thunder would be better off with Westbrook settling down and letting KD be the guy. Kind of like how the Heat have become an even better team since Lebron became the guy.

So winning what 2 scoring titles in a row and finishing 2nd this year doesn't qualify as "being the guy"?

Local OKC sports radio grilled Westbrook the last 2 years. Called for him to be traded and what not to get a distributing PG.
He's been one of my favorite players, the turnaround Brooks has done with the Thunder is pretty amazing and the OKC media really didn't have the patience because they had to find something to grind on to pump out stories.
It'll be really bad in OKC if Memphis goes on to the Finals, this was "the year."

O rly? Guess you forgot about that '09 loss to the Magic and '10 loss to the Celtics?

Lebron >>>>>> KD

Who are you referring to? Every local radio host I've heard up here immediately said OKC had no chance to make it out of the west after Westbrook went down.

Durant has much better supporting cast and that Celtics team and that Magic team are better than this Griz team. Durant is like 3/15 right now and his team is in the game. That Cavs team would have been getting blown out if James went 3/15.

lol wut?
this proves jack shite about Westbrook.
a legit comparison would seeing how they did with a different starting PG who can score but is not as apt to be shoot first.
somebody like Mike Conley Jr, Rajon Rondo, or hell, even Greivis Vasquez

How dumb are the Thunder for getting rid of Harden?

Who in here is arguing that KD is on Lebron's level? Some of you guys have to interject LBJ into every convo

It shows that he is a more efficient scorer and probably should have the ball in his hands a little more.

Again, what do you guys not realize that they need RW to be a scorer. If not, who else is going to score besides KD? This isnt a team full of offensive players/shooters who just need a pass first PG to get them the ball.

well they traded the wrong guard
keeping Harden and getting a PG that is more willing to move the ball would have been better.

No, they traded the wrong player. RW was never in the discussion. It was bw Harden and Serge all along. And they made the wrong choice.

Yeah, my opinion is based on when they still had Harden.
A team with Durant, Harden, a PG in the caliber of Mike Conley/Ty Lawson/Etc. plus another decent solid player they could get for Westbrook would have made them a much better built team IMHO.

if the grizz play a tough league finals, win or lose, this convo will be a non factor. houston was inferior even without RW. memphis is superior.
