Looks like Barnes, Fetus, and Speights will be gone. Warriors need a 6'9/6'10 Power Forward in the worst way (maybe Al Hortford.) Opinions?

Unless Durant ends up in GS.

Which I am less certain won't happen then I was a month ago.

Not to mention the Thunder have some interesting FO decisions of their own. They actually have the opposite problem of GS. A number of role players that are about to cash in and they have to decide if it is wise to overpay them to keep them when there are indications those players may not be able to sustain their success.

Win a bunch of games

Beat jazz, rockets, trailblazers, or pels in round 1
Beat the Spurs or clippers round 2
Beat OKC in the WEstern a Conference Championship

I thought this was the end of the run even if they won the championship. Time to retool a bit.

Agree that getting Durant is the best way to get back.

I don't see any major losses there. Will be tough regardless unless they get Durant, which is not likely.

the warriors are disgusting franchise right now. I'd rather them lose than allow Harrishit to go unpunished.

Have the league MVP play like it.

Playing like the 4th or 5th best player in the series will never cut it. Didn't work in 2011 for LeBron and didn't work for Steph this year.

Definitely think curry will quietly have surgery in the coming weeks and all sorts of stuff is going to come out about his actual health

The perfect guy for them may not be Durant, it's actually Ibaka

Thats actually an intriguing point.

He kinda is.

He and Draymond in a small ball lineup with Iggy, Klay and Curry is honestly really scary to think about. Though of course Durant is more so but Ibaka would be an interesting consolation prize.

While I agree Durant isn't the right guy, I don't think Ibaka is. He is a poor man's Draymond. They just need to add a slashing SF to replace Barnes

Not sure curry/Klay/Durant can co-exist
My old coach used to say "Not enough basketballs" for that many elite scorers

Ibaka is a defensive rebounding machine that makes spot up jumpers. He is ideal for their dribble kick system

No, Ibaka ain't what he used to be.

The dubs will win the West and the whole thing next year if Steph plays like Steph. He was not himself

I think Durant going to the Warriors all but guarantees Durant is "buying in" to the Warriors methods and culture.

I think he would be lethal on that team TBH.

There just wouldn't be a team, including wherever LBJ is, that can match up with them. A small ball lineup of Green, Durant, Iggy, Klay and Stephen would be a nightmare.
