Memphis is East coast anyway. It's not like the Spurs play in Seattle. That is late for them too.

I agree, OP. Maybe at the latest, start the game at 10 EST (7 Pacific). People have to work, and there's no sense staying up till 2:00 AM to watch a basketball game.

agree. when i lived in the central time zone it was ok, but being on the eastern time zone, it's impossible to stay up and watch every sporting even thats on during the week. Last time I checked more people live on the east coast, there are more teams on the east coast and I would venture to say people on the east coast are bigger sports fans. It makes no sense.

I may be wrong but hasn't the Lottery aired at 630 in years past? I guess since it wasn't an east coast game they pushed it back this year.
