2017 75-87
2018 47-115
2019 54-108
2020 25-35 covid season
2021 38-81 35 games out

How long before you give Adley Rutschman a chance
It's not like there has been any plan like when the Astros were tanking and than restocking through the draft
What's the plan to be something more than a minor league outfit.
McDonald must be bored calling Orioles games right now, I mean what do you talk about that's promising.

Didn’t the Orioles have the best record for the last decade or something like that?

Edit: From 2012-2017 they had the best record in baseball.
Orioles fans could have it much worse and they have the top prospect in baseball.

That’s exactly what they’re doing. Why would you start the clock on Rutschman with a team this bad and the rules the way they are?

Yes I was mistaken. It was over 2012-2017.

Oddly enough, the Astros had the worst record in baseball over the past decade.

Lol nvm again. That article was dated. The Astros had the worst record in all of baseball from 2007-17.

We expected them to bad, but they're worse than we thought they would be.

As mentioned, they do have one of the best prospects in the minors and I think there talent pool in the minors is rated somewhere in the top 5.

Gonna have to suffer through a few more crap seasons but at least on paper they should be much improved in a few years.

They are still feeling the affects of the ridiculous Chris Davis contract. They aren't in a hurry to bring up Rutschman because Severino has been pretty solid behind the plate. There is some young talent in Mullins and Mountcastle, but their pitching prospects are meh.

I'm surprised Mancini has asked out of there yet.

Went to the game last night.

They’re pretty bad. And they’re getting smacked around again today.

100%. It may not end up going as well as the Astros, but they are no doubt following the same blueprint. Their GM is even a former Astros Assistant GM.

Fangraphs currently does have them with the most valuable farm system in baseball now that Wander Franco isn’t part of the Rays farm.

The Orioles won 75 games in 2017. Maybe 2012-2016? They won 444 games 2012-2016. St. Louis won 461. Maybe AL?

It was from 2012-2016 that they had the best record in the AL.

This isn't true. The Os are terrible right now, but they have a top 3 farm system loaded with the #1 position player and #1 pitching prospect. They have a few pieces on the team to build with around Mountcastle, Mullins, Means, and Mancini.

The farm system has been the focus since Mike Elias was hired as GM in 2018. Astros fans know Elias as the director of amateur scouting from 2011-2017.

Its not just a top heavy system, its stacked with depth, even with their 2020 1st round pick (Heston Kjerstad) missing the entire year due to myocarditis.

What's sad is even with this abysmal record, they're still outdrawing the Rays. Just speaks to how dope Camden Yards is. You may get shot going from Lombard St to Pickles, but if you make it you'll enjoy the stadium.

It appears that’s exactly what they’re doing… Baltimore has Rutschman, Grayson Rodriguez, DL Hall, etc. all of whom are top 100 prospects. They’re attempting a complete rebuild.
