They are playing in the cougars stadium so it makes more sense to have red uniforms to compliment the already in place stadium accents

Bud Adams took it to Tennessee. That’s why they were the Tennessee Oilers for a couple of seasons...playing in Vanderbilt Stadium and the Liberty Bowl.

I know that was originally but is there some kind of change with the uniforms now that there are the Texans?
Have the Titans worn those throwbacks since the Texans have became a team?

No, the Titans wear the Oilers throwbacks since it’s the same franchise. Texans have no connection to the Oilers or any rights to wear those throwbacks.

It’s is fricking criminal that Houston wasn’t able to keep the Oilers name. Houston Texans just don’t sound right. It should be the Oilers forever.

I feel like any team that moves from a city and then changes their name should give up the rights to the previous name to the former city if that city regains another franchise in that sport.
Just like when the Hornets became the Pelicans and we gave the Hornets name back to Charlotte.
Now if only Utah would change their NBA name and give us back the Jazz.
