Texans must have heard some positive news regarding Watson's lawsuits. They're going to hire Flores to appease Watson and get him to stay.

I don't think it is that at all, they are deadset now on hiring McDaniels as the next HC. Houston will be Patriots South.

Name a franchise where he knows the GM personally, will be able to pick his own QB and has multiple first round picks incoming.

Can't wait to see Jack Easterby's burner account ( LINK) defend this in the next few days.

So it begins

There is currently only one African American head coach in the NFL.

#Steelers Mike Tomlin

What a joke.

Mike Freeman

One Black head coach left in the NFL.
Absolutely disgraceful.

Despite being told by our parents and grandparents that you must be twice as good to advance half as far, we still get the okie doke when we exceed expectations.. Not a pity party, just another reminder of the different standards to which we are held #NFL

Pathetic by the Texans. Gave him a shite roster, exceeded expectations to be honest.

I can’t imagine a good coach going to this dumpster fire if an organization.

Why are people in this thread pretending like this is crazy or something? He had no real qualifications for the position in the first place, keeping a guy because he didn’t fail as hard as you expected is a how you make bad decisions worse

After the Watson stuff and with the pick shortage at the time, Culley was their like 50th choice at HC. Now the job can actually attract the candidates they are looking for

Culley will be paid his contract out and got to fulfill a lifelong dream to be a HC and that road will be more open to him because of it potentially. He still comes out on top in all this given like a year and a half ago he was a career WR coach with no real HC prospects

He never should have been hired in the first place.

He can. That's why the Texans organization have the next best available Pats guy circled, Joe Judge. I really wouldn't put it above them to do this.

It’s crazy you would hire a coach with the expectation he will only be there for a year
