CP3 should be a candidate for MVP this year. He won't win it though.

I thought CP3 should have won it last year. Sorry Kobe fans.

Those were huge, with a streaky team like the Magic you never know when they might get on a roll.

Does anyone else miss Pargo? The dude could light up during stretches of the game.

I wish the Hornets would have kept the entire team together from last year.

Although I generally agree with you on this argument, that last post makes no sense.

People on here say that Paul is the MVP because the hornets are worse without paul than LA is without Kobe. Kobe and Lebron can't be punished because their teammates are better than Paul's teammates.

CP3 is an all-pro, he is the best PG in the league....but it's really tough to get MVP consideration at that position*

I mean, in the NBA right now it's pretty much

Paul
Kobe
Lebron
Howard
Wade

probably your best 5 players overall that can carry their teams...but Paul will have a tough time getting that MVP unless the Hornets make the finals*

*ETA: unless you're Steve Nash in a down year for the NBA stars

We're playing great tonight, and the Magic are playing horrible. Complete opposite of last game.

With Wilcox and Smith, I actually think the Hornets will be better than they were with Tyson. Next year will be a major, major problem, but a lot can happen in an offseason. We can only worry about this year.

But the fact that you don't consider CP in the discussion shows that either you just can't get past your hatered of the Hornets or you just don't know jack shite.

hate to break it to you, but nobody outside of Hornets fans consider CP in the discussion. ANY time you hear MVP talk, the only 2 names you hear are Lebron and Kobe.

MVP given out either before the playoffs or during the first round

which is why Paul will win it win the Hornets win 60 games OR the year after they make the finals(not gonna happen anytime soon). With the Lakers on pace to win 60+, nobody else is gonna win the MVP.

Paul makes his teammates better. Kobe not so much. Labron not so much. The award is called Most Valuable Palyer right? So should it not be the player who means the most to his team?

I agree Tyson was a bum, overrated D and rebounding, and deadweight on offense.
