They make no mention that now the only people that are getting tested are people that are exposed or having symptoms, while pointing out the big scary positive rate as if it should matter. 29 out of 348 looks way scarier than 29 out of 12,000.

Not a single mention of a hospitalization from UNC. They had 125 positive tests. That was the extent of the outbreak. Cancelled all school.

I agree but in this case, ALL the policies are made on only testing some people, mainly, ones who may be exposed / have symptoms.
So comparing UNC's imperfect number to the CDC's imperfect numbers, is probably ok.
Testing everyone only works if EVERYONE is tested, so you have good comparisons.

It is so disappointing to see this. How can Universities be so ill prepared for this? If I had a child there, i would sue. This is unacceptable. Did UNC even have a plan?
Notre Dame had a plan and is actually trying to stick to it.

This is a GREAT sign for football, because it means the football players won't have to sit in class next to the disgusting frat boys and sorositutes who aren't being tested regularly and aren't practicing safe hygiene.

This was my first thought.. This creates your “bubble”.
I just think the Big Ten/PAC12 and national media is constantly going to bring up the # of cases in college towns/states and that’s going to prevent these leagues from playing. Hopefully these players stay negative which is all that really matters when it comes to having a season. Saw that Michigan State tested 205 players/coaches and had zero positives
