OK say a title contender told TM that on day 2 if you are there we are taking you, try to avoid any other meetings and such. If its a team he wants to be with just brush of the others leave a bad taste and they won't go after you.

This doesnt make any sense

Stop making excuses for the kid.

Just to play devil's advocate, anyone stop to think that maybe he has a promise from a team to pick him early in the 2nd round.

I don't know about a specific round, but other than the obvious and simple answer of him actually being sick, scaring off others because he wants to go to a specific team that made a promise and he sees as a good situation seems reasonable.

Not making excuses. Just wonder if this could actually happen. It would possibly cost him a little money but could also leave him available for one certain team.

No. TM7 isnt going to try and sabbatoge his draft stock anymore to go to a contender. And no team would ask him to do that

Thats not how it works

After the arrest, i was done thinking the guy could change or get his head on straight. Dude had everything to lose and fricked it up. Dont see how that changes in the NFL

before the latest story I didn't think he'd go before the 4th round.

now I don't see how a team picks him even that soon... there are a lot of good players in the 4th round who don't make decisions as poorly as he does

Just curious, how can any of you guys still defend him? Dude's a knucklehead and I'llbe surprised if he's not in prison by age 25 out of sheer dumbness.

He's a likable guy who was a great player for LSU. He has no history of violence - just a pattern of self destructive behavior that makes me feel a mixture of angry and frustrated with him.

I hope his behavior doesn't escalate to serious crime but the way he is headed I can't disagree with someone who sees that in his future

Wasnt Cecil dismissed from Mcneese for smoking weed? its a perfect comparison. He didnt do the breaking and entering until he was in the pros. That was just his last chance before jail.

Dude was breaking into girls apts and pulled out his junk and rubbed it on her while she was sleeping.

Tyrann smoked weed. Big differences.

Cecil collins was drafted in the fifth round with far less collegiate success and many more problems. Matthieu will go 2nd or 3rd. Too much playmaking talent and some team will ignore the weed and let him smoke like a heavy majority of nfl playrs do.

because imo he hasn't done anything wrong. I don't define right and wrong by legal and illegal per se. and if anyone wants to get on a high horse, did you never drink before 21?

Damn there are some overreacting nancies in this thread.

Tyrann will definitely be off the board before the 4th ever gets here, probably in the 2nd.

His agent said he was "legitimately sick" from all the stress & flying around the country. As if none of the other draft candidates were not as stressed out, too. He literally stood them up, flat out did not show up at both team's offices & went "off the grid", becoming completely unaccessable. All he had to do was have his agent call & cancel. Every thing he's done is no big deal. But: Every time he continues to show his lack of common sense & intelligence is beginning to add up & a pattern is developing. He may well be a good NFL player. It's looking doubtful he'll have a long career, tho, as his exposure to bad elements will only increase once he gets those pay checks rolling in.

Of course, that certain team could and probably would screw him over at the drop of a hat for any reason or no reason at all. If he thought the scenario you presented was enough of a commitment from the team to justify his burning bridges with everybody else, the dude would have to be high.
