mc donogh 16 chalmette 10
we returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown
, but we gave up a touchdown on the next drive, but they failed going for 2 ;).
it became a defensive struggle, and we ended the half up 10-6 after a short field goal with 0:00 left in the second.
mc donogh had lots of penalties against them, but we gave them a break when we had to punt, and we snapped it over the punter's head to make it 10-8 going into the fourth. mc donogh started with a passing game and a scrambling QB, but we were wreaking havoc with our D-Line, getting sacks, so they started running more and more, and being the bigger team, they wore us down until they finally took the lead with 8 minutes left. they went mano a mano and we just couldn't catch them on the outside. they got the two point conversion to make it 16-10.
we got the ball back after stopping them, but on 3rd down, we threw an interception and that was the game.
IMO this was one of our six winnable games, and if we had dreams of the state playoffs, we had to win all 6, now we have to beat EJ (whooped up tonight), Live Oak, Reed, Bonnabel, and Grace King and hope and pray that we stay #32 or something...

westlake won 28-21. got much better as the game went along. anybody got a final from the stm-sulphur matchup?

WM was taking knees with the 4th string with 5 minutes left in the game. They could've scored 100 if they wanted to, it was bad.

Oh and this is supposed to be Don Shows' last year at WM. You could see a lot of scores like this or worse since he doesn't have to worry about playing anyone next year.
