i think everyone and their mom knew the heat needed to keep building their roster and this first year

2 of their 5 starters are below average. that will likely improve. and they have 1 or 2 good bench players. that will likely improve

Obviously their odds are good to win titles...not sure about three in a row. But don't forget the Orlando teams that virtually everyone thought would dominate after they were swept by the Rockets. Most thought they were a virtual lock to win multiple titles. You just never know what can happen...injuries, etc. For that matter...the Rockets of the mid 80s were touted to be the next big thing after making the finals with the twin towers. Partially thanks to a couple of guys who couldn't stay off the yam yam and Sampson's injuries, it never came to pass.

Just on odds alone I would bet you any amount you desire that the do not win the next three consecutive championships.

In what imaginary world? Each year they'll have to pay more and more for the Big3 and the Owners are looking to really keep the caps down. I don't see that.

what is really weird, is that had the Heat bowed out to the Celtics in 6 or 7 games, they probably wouldnt have taken any heat for it..

I agree with that, Xeno. I also think if the Heat had lost in the conference finals it would be more likely that they would win it all once in the next few years.

I bet the Mavs win one more before the heat wins two over the next 3 years.

Dirk stopped the Lakers dynasty, and he delayed the Heat dynasty.

That's not just an awesome line, it's the truth, IMO.

I think the Heat will still win about 3 championships.

I'm pretty sure LeBatard picked the Heat to win it all before the season.

All season long.

Hell, he had the bet with wilbon that they'd win 70.

And he lost the bet with Barkley as well.

His take was he felt there was no way a team with those 3 stars could lose 4 outta 7 games against another team. 4 outta 6 it was lol.

we're talking about solid vets taking the minimum to play with the heat...like what z did, but more planned out/less rushed

or a short MLE contract

The Heat need a better supporting cast (I laugh as I type that), or they need a coach that can get the Big Three to play better together.

I'm thinking the heat superstars aren't going to continue to settle for subpar contracts if they aren't winning championships. If they lose next year, the 3some gets broken up.

Not Wade or LeBron.

Maybe Bosh.

I think Erik Spolestra will be fired ! He seems lost and I don't think he has the respect and trust of his players. Miami and LBJ will win a title eventually if Pat Riley can get a Phil Jackson clone to come coach. A few more bench players for the heat will push them over the top.
