So rumors are fine to post as long as they don't relate to LSU?

Why don't you quote that entire section? Rumors pertaining to LSU players, coaches, etc., are of concern there, not rumors of conference realignment.
Oh good! I even created a help board thread about this, cause I was worried now that I may of violated a rule on this site or something. Well Ice, as stated in my OP, I do not have a link bro. There is nothing to copy and paste from. These are rumors that I have heard today from some friends who told me over the phone. And they are not apt to make stuff up.
This is all just new and fresh and it has me scrambling to find out what's going on...and just thought some FSU or Clemson fans might be on this site and could confirm things maybe...

The 16 team stuff is all a bunch of smoke. The SEC doesn't need Florida State or Clemson. They already have those markets covered.

Do you think a rumor about conference realignment is something that exposes the site to some risk? Can you differentiate that from discussing an unsubstantiated rumor about an LSU player?
It's matter of common sense.

Dude, he is the Chief Admin. And he said rumors about Conference Changes are ok...

Ya, what he said.

I wasn't thinking about risks, rather just about the boards being cluttered with "I heard blah blah blah from my friend" or "Did anyone else here blah blah blah" type threads.

No, you got that VERY wrong!
All you did was prove me right.
I didn't say that Scott screwed anything up. Only that twice the PAC-12 tried to get t.u. and OU and didn't get them.
Not disagreeing that the first time t.u. screwed the PAC-12. That's to be expected when you deal with the devil (and the Hook Em Horns resembles the devil horns, proving my point).

I'm not trying to argue with anybody, just trying to see what the rule(s) regarding threads bases solely on rumors not involving LSU are.

FSU & Clem to SEC
Both schools have good to great football programs and fit culturally to a large extent but... neither adds a new state with new television markets
So i doubt it is true... i think it will still be two new teams from new states like north carolina, virginia, maryland, or oklahoma - provided the NCAA allows 16 team conferences to do a two round conference playoff

Actually, the rumors are that FSU and Clemson are pondering a move to the Big12. And there is definitely some smoke - and legitimate reasons - there.
If that happens, look for the SEC to expand to 16 with Virginia Tech and either NCState or Maryland...both in the SEC East, Missouri to SEC West.
Clemson and FSU would love to be in the SEC if given the choice of Big12 or SEC...but they don't have that choice currently. Too many obstacles within the SEC to let those two particular schools in right now (Flo/Geo/USC/Vandy = automatic "no" vote).

Well, I just thought he was. I know Chicken is the owner, but is he not the Senior top Admin as I assumed?
Or are you Rummy? If you are, sorry to offend your pay grade and not state you were.

bddwolfpack, You would be thinking wrong. For the challenging senior Admin, Rummy, has not whacked this thread yet, which really is a form of a blessing upon it by default.

I swear all Oregon fans on the internet are 13 year olds scattered around America who have never been to Oregon, much less attended the University of Oregon
Posted on 5/9/12 at 9:30 pm to DucksflyinPAC
I don't doubt 4 super conferences will happen at some point but I doubt FSU is ever really going to leave the ACC unless the conference absolutely implodes WAC-style.
Posted on 5/9/12 at 9:31 pm to JPLSU1981
I think we take Virginia if we take Virginia Tech. Virginia was the reason VT got into the ACC.

Definitely a possibility, but VaTech/NCState would be the SEC's first choice.
