I wonder how much time SARK gets?
Speaking of the the LSU UW game. Whats UW look like? Gonna be a game or blowout?

I expect total domination.

Yeah, I'm hoping we can pull out 2, maaaayyybbee 3 wins out of our first 6 games. Should get much easier after that. Sark has been doing everything right to rebuild. The only thing that still concerns me is his OL recruiting. He'll get at least 3-4 more years if he stays at or above .500. If he starts competing for Rose Bowls in the next few years, then he'll get extended.

The Aztecs are interesting. 4-2-5 and they get some talent. It will depend on that oline of yours.
ETA: my concern is also Price's health.

I could probably find out with what FSU is up to. My cousin is director of football operations at FSU.

Who knows. We are running an entirely different defense. We still have some of the best skill position players in the country, but our OL is a big question mark. We might be able to put up 2-3 TD's if we're having a good day.

Didn't they lose their starting QB and RB though to the NFL? And agreed about Price. If he's healthy he's gonna be good. That's a big if though. We do have some great, but young talent behind him. Hopefully they develop quickly.

When all the rumors were flying last year, he said that FSU was in deep negotiations with the SEC, but UF cockblocked them.

Wilcox is a great coordinator. However, he is still working with average talent. I seriously think this game isn't even close. Their defensive line is going to be better than last year's even with the loss of Brocker. All of four on the DT two deep are veterans at this point. The DE are top 5 quality. You are breaking in new tackles.
It. won't. end. well.

Oh, I don't think we have a shot. I'm hoping that it's not a blowout. I would say that if we play an amazing game and they play a bad game, we could drag it into the 4th quarter. LSU has let some teams that have no business being in the game play them tight under Miles. I still think the final score will be something around 42-13.

That is very true.
I am interested in the Aztec game. They run an exotic scheme and that doesn't bode well for a brand new oline (assuming some last year's starters still have lingering injuries). It might take a while for the offense to get going. It could be an Eastern Washigton type game again. UW has to win that game.

I hear and agree with a lot of what you're saying. And I love Louisiana, but if the film industry does pick up and move shop, it'll be to Texas or New Mexico.
Louisiana is doing great right now in film production, but a lot of that is because of your tax incentive program which isn't sustainable if you become THE filmmaking capital of the country.

That's true, but that was also Price's first game (basically). He was amazing after that. I've gotta think that his experience will carry us through that game. Plus I love the way Sark gameplans for the offense now that he's had a few years under his belt. Assuming everyone is healthy, we return our entire interior line, but replace both tackles. That OL worries me a lot though. Sark needs to step up the recruiting in that area.

They are a permanent tax break. Anything is sustainable if you keep your spending with your income. LINK

Without reading 15 pages of threads, here is what I KNOW:
1. Big 12 members have each signed a 13 year GOR with the new TV contract. Texas, OU, and no one else is going anywhere for a long time.
2. The ACC's new TV deal, which includes a ccg and all 3 tiers, had no GOR's. So they are raidable, if they want to pay a 20 million dollar exit fee.
3. FSU, according to Yahoo sports, is conducting internal discussions exploring how much they would
make from a network like texas has. Does not mean they are going anywhere, but they cut 2.5 million from their athletic budget because of a shortfall. they need cash.
4. neither FSU or Clemson was thrilled with adding 2 basketball schools in the recent ACC expansion, which was done to placate UNC and Duke.
5. Highly likely FSU and Clemson would prefer SEC to Big 12 because of geography.
6. Big 12's tv deal has built in incentives if they add the right 2 teams to get to 12. That of course also triggers a ccg.
I think the SEC would prefer VT/NC state to FSU/Clemson because it opens new markets(speculation on my part). But in the unlikely event FSU/Clemson jump, there would be blood in the water.

Good point on Price. Who do you expect for the first game on oline? I know Porter (???) left due to injury and Kohler underperformed.
ETA: I know Hatchie is guy we wanted but none of our redshirt frosh are close to sniffing the starting lineup let alone the two deep.

Why in the world would the SEC want FSU or Clemson? The SEC's better plays are UNC/NCST and VT/UVA. Best-case is VT and UNC. It's all about markets...
