If Haynes King takes GT to the playoffs he is absolutely going to be in the discussion, everyone loves him and he has very unique stats
He doesn’t have a TD pass through 2 games. Lmao

He's fun though. Kinda a smaller Collin Klein, who was a Heisman finalist. With no player looking too hot so far and with Tech having a pretty light schedule until Pitt and UGA the last couple weeks it's not impossible.

Haynes King is basically a 1970's Hall of Fame NFL quarterback playing college football today.

quote:Haynes had some great chemistry with a WR that graduated a year before him at Longview. Haynes would run around avoiding sacks until the WR had time to run open. They basically played backyard ball the way Lagway did on the 87 yard TD that got called back. It was fun to watch.

If you're a praying man, say one for Haynes dad, the great Coach John King. He's got mouth cancer.

According to the Longview News-Journal, King is starting his 22nd season as the head coach this year, and he first started with the team back in 2004. Under his leadership, he Lobos have never missed the playoffs, they've won 17 district championships, played in three state championship games and won a state title in 2018.
Ruston's coach, Jerrod Baugh, was an assistant under John King.
ETA: Here's a John King tweet where he's reacting to what another coach tweeted after GaTech won yesterday.
