OKC got smoked. You are in the very small minority that disagrees.

But I hope you keep being delusional about it, because it entertains me.

Doesn't Durant lead the league in free throw attempts?

He wouldn't be nearly as effective either if the refs swallowed their whistles.

Scoring breakdown by percentage:

Durant:
% of points from made 2pt shots: 50.4%
% of points from made 3pt shots: 22.5%
% of points from made FT shots: 27.1%

Harden:
% of points from made 2pt shots: 41.4%
% of points from made 3pt shots: 29.1%
% of points from made FT shots: 29.4%

Pretty wild considering Durant has made about 150 more free throws this year than Harden.

You act like playing NBA2k on the PS4 is real life. On paper? Yeah, probably looks much worse for OKC.

In real life? No team in the history of the NBA cap has won a championship with 3 max players. I believe firmly it wasn't going to happen with KD-Russ-Harden all maxed out.

So you make a move, and get the best you can. People in the beginning that said Houston got trade-raped were stupid then (I was never on that side) and sound even dumber now.

However anyone who can't with open eyes examine the other side are being very short-sided. The discrediting of Adams by you guys is hilarious. 19 year old center who's looked unbelievable at moments this year. If you ask any so-called expert what the Thunder have been lacking it's an athletic center to compliment Ibaka and Durant down low. In addition, if Westbrook hadn't had his bizarre injury last season, we'd most likely be having a very different conversation right now.

And let's see if Harden can take his team out of the first round, out of the second round, out of the WCF, and into the Finals. Because the only team he's been on that he's ever been apart of that run he was the 3rd option.

I'll hang up and listen.

I have no idea I'm arguing with you guys on this. Kendrick Perkins and their loyalty to him blows this whole argument up.

No, it actually does the exact opposite. Instead of using the amnesty on him, eating his contract and bringing in other players, they kept him around.

And they "loved" Martin so much that they offered him significantly less than what he's making in Minnesota.

Anyway you want to spin it. No team that values D to the point they wouldn't want James Harden is going to bring in Kevin Martin to play significant minutes.

Oh you mean the year where Russell Westbrook has missed over half the season? That year? Yeah, let's go ahead and use this year as a baseline.

But you use a condensed season where they played 66 games as a baseline? A season where league wide efficiency was down? Yeah, good going.

You do realize Martin makes less than Harden, yes?

What? Harden played 3 seasons with OKC. Significant time in the last 2. His last season (the 66 season you referenced) was the Thunder's best year in terms of offensive efficiency with him here. The first year without him, a full season 82 game season w/ Martin, they scored more efficiently. I can almost guarantee their efficiency would have been similar to last year had Russ not missed half the 2013-2014 campaign.

This OKC efficiency w/o Harden really bugs the shite out of you Rocket fans for some reason.

What's your point? Durant averages about 7 more points per game.

All I said was if you are going to discredit Harden because a large percentage of his points come from free throws, then you'd have to discredit Durant just the same.

Sounds like a whole lot of mental gymnastics to basically say "I'm glad we replaced James Harden wtih the one and only Steven Adams".

Here is some homework for you. Prove that their efficiency is up because Harden is not there instead of other factors such as players like Durant, Ibaka, Sefalosha, etc. being a couple years older and better than they were, more experience, different players, better shot selection, etc.

Show proof the difference is because of Harden.

These guys are doing their best to convince me:

A.) Houston raped OKC in the Harden trade. No thought for examination. Rape occurred.
B.) Durant and Westbrook are leaving OKC, no questions asked. ( )
C.)Houston raped OKC in the Harden trade. No thought for examination. Rape occurred.
D.) OKC was a guaranteed 2013 Finals Champion if they still had Harden.
E.) Houston raped OKC in the Harden trade. No thought for examination. Rape occurred.

If I missed anything, I apologize.

No matter how you try to spin it, OKC got rid of James Harden in favor of Jeremy Lamb and Steven Adams.

If that isn't raped then I don't know what is.

WTF does this have to do with anything? Your position is that the Thunder didn't want to bring back Harden because of his D. So their answer to that was to bring in Kevin Martin to replace him for a season. I'm sorry, but how in the world does that make sense? And your point about the salaries makes no sense either. Kevin Martin made more than Harden last year.

No, it wasn't. 10-11 they were at 108.6. 11-12 they were at 107.1.

You always pull out that stat whenever someone says the Thunder are worse without Harden. And you always try and use it in a way that makes me think you actually think the Thunder are better off without Harden. But I know that can't be the case, because a smart guy like yourself would understand that that's not what the stat is about. Never mind that Harden leaving wasn't the only variable. Never mind that comparing it directly to a condensed season where league wide efficiency was down might not be the smartest thing. And never mind that common sense dictates that James Harden is a much better than any combination of Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb and Steven Adams.
