Obviously he’s always been touted as one of the best, but rarely do you hear him called THE best. It’s usually Ruth or Williams. But he is 2nd in HR, 1st in RBI, total bases and extra base hits, 3rd in hits, over .300 lifetime avg, multiple gold glove winner. I think he has an argument. What say the MSB?

That’s the question. And I’m not saying you’re wrong. But give me the case for both over Aaron.

Fair points. I just think it’s a lot more arguable than you typically hear.

Aaron had longevity on his side like almost no one else in history. He had a 44 HR season at age 23 and a 40 HR season at age 39 before he finally slowed down over his final three seasons.

Watched him play in the Astrodome when I was a kid. Never seen such a lazy and unmotivated guy in the field.

Here’s one for you.

Hank Aaron only won 1 MVP award.

Barry Bonds won 7.

Sportswriters are not infallible, not sure why people think MVP awards (in any sport) is indicative of much

Okay, my beef is just with using MVPs as a stat of sorts in these convos, that’s it
